well that didnt stopped Jean gry to be a teen when she should be a pre teen in 83 or angel and pyslocke whom both appeared in the Last Stand as younger characters set in present days or Jubilee

1]the characters seen in x3 was never called Pyslocke/Elizabeth or Jubilee on screen, so like the Ema seen in origins, likely different characters

2] the "ANGEL" we saw in this film was never called "WARREN WORTHINGTON" on screen, so like above, may be a different character

3] Jean was in or near 27 to maybe her 30's in X1, year about 2000, so a teen between 14 and 17 is what she should be in 1983

4...and most important] this film seems to be ignoring X3 and Origins, so what was seen and said in those films may not hold much weight

I think it's a pretty much given that they are the same characters, and pretending like Emma from First Class wasn't the real/same Emma from the comics would be a huge cop-out.

Honestly, I just want the rights to go back to Marvel so they can stop utterly butchering X-Men characters with such deep history, e.g. the utter waste of Psylocke, Angel, and Jubilee in this movie. If you look at the film by itself, it isn't terrible by any means, but when you go and watch the cartoons or read the comics you just see how much of a disservice they've done to almost every character, with a few exceptions.

I don't get why people are sweating the age factor. New timeline means that characters could have been born at anytime prior to the first three films. Also, the multiple power set idea.

and lol at the idea that jubilee will be a major character in any xmen movie. But...but...the cartoons lulz

    you seem confused

i said the "Ema" from the movie "Origins" is not the same Ema from "First class"

and for the record, none of the characters in the "films" are the real/same characters from the comics....none of them

they are all counterparts from a different universe/timeline with different but similar lives

    i agree with you

I laugh at "deep history" when it comes to Psylocke and Jubilee. Did the "deep history" really get butchered? Really?

Jubilee is a cliche mall rat first, middle and last, who did mostly nothing in the comics for her first 20 years, and was popularized mostly by having been included on the '90s cartoon as our Spike Witwicky character.

Please don't tell me her deep history is randomly becoming a vampire, because writers struggle to find anything to do with her.

And the only way you're ever going to have a "deep history" for Psylocke is if Marvel does a Captain Britain movie. I'm sure that a lot of people who consider themselves fans don't even really know her "deep history".

There's no doubt going to be an extended cut, anyway. They shot some stuff at the mall jubilee, night crawler, and all those guys were heading towards but that stuff apparently didn't make the final cut. No doubt jubilee was meant to be more of a character given she was in like all of the promo material

    More questions:

    1. During the cage match against Angel, why couldn't Nightcrawler teleport out of the cage? Furthermore, how did Angel defeat the Blob?

    2. How could the flight suits at Alkali Lake be ready-made for the X-Men if they had just been captured?

    3. Of all the places to build his kingdom, why Cairo? Why not a more prominent place like Washington, D.C., London, or Moscow? Hell, why not the X-Mansion, since Cerebro's there and it's already inhabited by Mutants?

    4. How were Magneto and Jean able to rebuild the X-Mansion without blueprints and actual construction equipment? Sure, Magneto controls metal, but not wood or brick, and I don't think Jean's telekinesis is capable of making shapes.

That's an odd thing in my mind to be bothered by but whatever. I can see how they'd be bothered by it but at the same time, they're just promoting that Apocalypse is no joke.

Mystique can carry a film in my opinion. I'd just like to see Jennifer Lawrence take her exit.

X-Men Director Bryan Singer Would Like To Bring One Super Reunion To The Silver Screen

Bryan Singer: “I went and saw Patrick Stewart’s wife sing at a local venue with Ian McKellen. The two of us were sitting there watching Patrick’s lovely wife sing, and I was thinking, ‘yeah, at some point it would be lovely to see them all again.’ They’re all great actors and great people, and I had great experiences with them. I’d love to see that happen — it’s just you have to figure it out. How do you do that? You can’t do it for the sake of doing it, you have to do it right.”

If it's not too late, it'd be cool.
