it was in one of the TV spots

my theory is that Mystique simply disguised herself as Striker in order to save Logan, nothing more. as we see her in this movie saving other mutants like Nightcrawler, so we did in the last one where she saved Havok and other mutants in Vietman and then sometime during the Gap, the real striker ended up getting Logan in his hands, seeig Mystique has no bad intentions i doubt she would've done anything bad with Logan after she saved him, its easy to assume she just saved him and let him go.

Not yet, the action is supposed to be in the 80s. And actually, wouldn't this version of Wanda be just a kid considering she's a young adult at the time of MCU events? That timeline doesn't work.

Yeah Singer had a quite a few "Michael Bay moments" over the course of the last 2 movies where he didn't care about stuff that happened in the previous movies.

The Fates of Banshee & Emma Frost being glossed over annoyed the shit outta me in DOFP

How the f*ck did Wolverine get his claws back after the events of The Wolverine.....then the whole Logan thing in XMA was the same.

And let us not forget Stewart being ok after XM3. Now I know there's deleted scenes after credit etc etc etc but that doesn't cut it wth me.

Also, isn't it like the 2nd or 3rd time the X-Men seem surprised to have official uniforms?

Also, Wolverine's inclusion in this movie felt really forced. And is it me or he doesn't look as buff as he usually is? Getting old? Not enough steroids and growth hormones?

Hugh Jackman definitely wasn't in peak Wolverine condition for that scene. Just look at The Wolverine and DoFP.

It was probably added in at the last minute after principal photography finished.

Jackman probably didnt have enough time to get super jacked.

Of all the things to complain about, this is towards the bottom though.

Yay everyone gets their proper costumes at the end. I don't even care in that I don't mind the "black leather" look everyone's always complaining about. I'm just happy to finally hear the complainers shut up about it :p

Wasn't the biggest fan of whats-her-face as Jean. Idk. Just don't care for her look, keeping famke in mind.

Apocalypse was okay. Sometimes he'd look really weird to me and then sometimes I had to remind myself "oh yeah they're just reeeeeally pushing the Egypt vibe." It's always really hard to do the bad guy right, I guess? (Given virtually every movies track record, anyway)

That said, magneto. Finally a proper magneto. He had some great character building/fleshing out scenes and FINALLY we get to see his powers be more in line with his comic book self. Finally somebody remembered that he's the master of magnetism and not just metal. Really happy with magneto in this.

Charles was great. His reactions to Moira were funny and good to see as well! Really helped humanize his character, I thought. Yes, even the always good, always right father figure professor can tongue tied over a beautiful woman. Good stuff. The reason for baldness was oookayyyy? It works I guess. (But then what made him bald in the other timeline? Curious)

I think I'm in love with Alexandra Shipp. She's super beautiful and was really great as storm <3
Criminally underused! Her and the other horsemen.

Decent flick overall. Like others have said, not amazing but not terrible either. Not as crazy or awesome as the comic storyline but I guess that's to be expected with movie adaptations of storylines. It's never gonna be the same.

But yeah. Nice go see everything line up at the end. Proper costumes, bald professor. Although I can't help feeling like it's been every single movie ends with trying to lead up to forming the real xmen only to have it reset by the next movie, and they spend the whole next one doing it all over again :p  or maybe that's me

Hugh Jackman's The Wolverine Initially Had A Much Larger Role In X-Men: Apocalypse

Bryan Singer explained that since Logan still has Metal on his body, Magneto used the metal on the rest of his bones to recoat his claws during the 10-20 years gap from The Wolverine to DOFP. seeing that would've happened years before logan went back to the 70s, it would've not made sense for them to bring that up. unless the movie had opened right where The Wolverine left off.

True, but that's sort of how he looked in the first X-Men, from what I remember. Not that it matters -- with the new time-line, the events of the first movie are likely very different.

Understandable, but disappointing considering that J-Law doesn't seem to care about the character anymore.

thats because the xmen films and the avenger films do not take place in the same universe or timeline

x films are not part of the mcu

in mcu, wanda is not a mutant, her father was not magneto

IMO? Vaughn is not the super saviour he is made out to be by X Fans. A LOT of the shite in X3 was down to him. Ratner still gets a brutally unfair rap for that movie.......and in First Class he could have paid a lot more attention to continuity with the first movie from 2000 since it wasn't a reboot at that time but a prequel-but he didn't.

LOVE Kick Ass & Kingsman but he isn't perfect for this franchise either.

Kingsman 2 aside, Vaughn hasnt directed any sequels, so the chance of him returning are slim to none imo.

In a way, I want a new young hungry guy to direct the next mainline X-film.

Im kinda hopeful for the New Mutants since its a new franchise and new director.

I wish someone would adapt the Peter David era X-Factor (Havok, Polaris, Madrox, Wolfsbane, etc.). It'll make for a great GotG-esque team/movie.

This movie was pretty dissapointing. Only part that was great, was the quick silver mansion scene and the last 2 minutes of the movie.
