Finally watched the first two episodes (saved them for a plane ride) and man they are a banger especially the second. Can’t wait for ep.3 and the rest of the show.

I know in the trailer he sounded a little off and in the show at times yes but got to say I think Cal still got it as Wolverine. Did a good joke. Rogue I can hear the age but got use to it each time we heard her. Everyone else mostly sounded good. Great actions scenes, easter eggs and more, again can’t wait for more episodes.

She's sure come a long way from the days she needed Cerebro to do a simple mindwipe on Juggernaut, and it knocking her on her ass.

The funniest BY FAR has to be her getting subdued by tripping on a cord :lolol

Nice, but I really wish they didn't have Mr. Sinister's laugh in the middle like that. Takes me right out of the tune each time.

Anyone else think Bolivar Trask in this new series just seems more unhinged and mad compared to the old series because this particular scene just broke what sanity he had in the face of accepting some truth?

Also calling it now: I don't think this will happen this season, but I believe that sooner or later, we'll eventually get the return of The Shadow King (probably the only animated Marvel villain that came the closest to scaring me as a young boy. Even his human self was a piece of shit.). Xavier being gone for the time being would be a very tempting time to attack and he still has that mad obsession towards Storm. Animated 90's Shadow King was like seeing one of Stephen Gammell's illustrations from "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" come to life and super-sized (or at least it felt that way as a kid in the early 90's). As a boy, I'd say Mr. Sinister was unsettling but in a cool way, but Shadow King was just goddamn frightening. :lol

One more random thought for now; I know he's dead in the comics and his fate seemed very assumed in the 90's cartoon, but with the Friends of Humanity, X-Ecutioner, and the return of Trask and the Sentinels, I wonder if the X-Men'97 Universe will have the return of Graydon Creed, maybe as some sort of cyborg as a result to whatever Sabretooth did to him.
Then again, I just remembered he got in that state in the first place because the FOA betrayed him in the first place, so who knows.
(also so I don't make any more separate posts, I'd love for X-Men'97 to straight out adapt "God Loves, Man Kills" like the classic series did with other comic storylines, even without Xavier, and give us a '97 Verse version of William Stryker.)

Another nice thing about this not being a Saturday morning show anymore: at the end there, I honestly didn't know whether he was going to do it or not.

Shadow King is basically the closest to a Stephen King monster in a comic book or animated series.

This show is great! I think of all the characters Storm is almost spot on to the original. Even her voice basically sounds the same. Need to see more of Wolverine/Morph interactions. Pretty crazy how the FOH could easily be people I've ran into during my lifetime. Those scum bags fell real, which I definitely like but it's sad at the same time you know?

This is a fantastic show so far. Episode 1 was great but episode 2 was on another level. One I don't think most fiction can achieve.
The acting, the writing, the directing, the animation. All superb.

I don't get the remarks about the animation not looking good (barring the opening which has some weirder moments) as it was exceptional. Jean using Cerebro, anytime Jubilee talked in ep 1, the Danger Room sequence, Magneto and Storm working together and the outcome of that. All top tier animation of which I don't think I have seen in an American produced 2-D animated program before.

Also glad that most of the animation is indeed 2-D.

I like they added Morph to the opening credits.
