Because the 7 or 8 million copies from 1991 that nobody ever read and arn't worth the paper they were printed on just isn't enougth.

Man that art is still amazing after all of these years. It will always be the definitive look of the X-men for me.

Can't say that I am excited about this "Anniversary edition" though, maybe it is because I have the 5 original different covers of the issue.

    I don't see the point.
I'll flip through it to see what improvements are made on the colouring side, but otherwise this is a relic.

Classic Jim Lee X-Men with digital color separations? Hell, for four bucks I'll bite. I kinda wish that the colorist took advantage of the way Jim Lee and Scott Williams drew shadows and highlights a bit more, but the dynamic lighting in the sample pages shown are pretty damn cool.

Free money, they are probably getting the recolouring done for a collected edition and nostalgic people are suckers.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Hell, I think I have two copies of that sitting around here somewhere.

Way cool! I loved the 90s design of the X-Men, my favourite. Especially Cyclops. He looks stupid with his cowl.

If this was the entire three issue arc, then yeah I could kinda see the point. But a single issue when there are still millions of the original still to be found in the quarter bins? What a joke.

Well Marvel has to put something out to go up against Jim Lee's Justice League :)

Its not like it makes much difference which one you buy, Jim Lee is still more or less drawing the same pages now that he was 20 years ago.

I seem to remember the one with Rogue and Psylocke on the front being much more difficult to find than the others......
