Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Peter David, Madrox, Guido, Siryn, and Wolfsbane ('bout time the X-books got their two hottest redheads with UK accents on the same team). This is seriously going to challenge New Excalibur for my most anticipated fall debut. :thumb

My sentiments exactly, Switchblade. I loved Peter David's run on X-Factor. And this new team lineup is great. We've got half of the pre-AoA X-Factor team (seriously, I liked everyone on that team except Forge and to a lesser extent, Random), plus Siryn and Rictor, two of the better X-Force characters. As for Monet, I have no opinion of her. And I bet the surprise member is Wolverine.

On a related note, I looked up Ryan Sook and found his site. I like his style. His work isn't exceptional, but at least it's not ugly like some artists *cough*Jeff Matsuda*cough*.

Don't forget, Primevil, Rictor was also a supporting cast member of the original X-Factor before he hooked up with the New Mutants. I like that they're adding someone associated with the first incarnation of the team.

Not another X book. Sorry, Iknow you guys love X-Factor but seriously, there are way to many. Everytime they revive an x-book, it dies in a year. Think of them. Excalibur, District X, X-Force, X-Statix, Cable, Deadpool (which was combined and is okay for now), Alpha Flight. Hopefully this one has some holding power but they need to cut a few more books. here's my X plan

Wipe out all limited series. We don't need em and they usually suck. The only limited series allowed are non-existant titles getting a feeling out like Weapon X or Marvel stories that relate like The End. Everything else is no go. Any limited series ideas get put in the regular comics. There are enough of them. And ABSOLUTELY NO Wolverine limited series. he has his own goddamn book to tell stories in. All other stories get put in one of the other 3 X-titles.

Get rid of X-Men. It sucks and we don't need it. Or get rid of Astonishing X-men and put Wheaton and Cassady on X-men. Or my best idea, get rid of Clearmont on Uncanny, cancel both other X-titles and put Wheaton and Cass on Uncanny. Uncanny gets to stay reguardless because it is the only Marvel book that hasn't been stopped and rebooted and still maintains original numbering.

X-Statix ran 26 issues after it changed from X-Force. Pretty respectable run for this day and age. X-Force, in all fairness, was a six issue miniseries. And Excalibur would quite possibly still be going if it hadn't been for House of M.

Couldn't agree more. Wolvie does not need multiple limted series when he has his own book, is in New Avengers, and is on all three X-Men teams.

Actually, I say lose Astonishing. Whedon's not likely to stay a third year, and without him there's no real reason to let the book continue. And of the three X-Men writers, Claremont's the last one you'd want to get rid of. You may not like him, but the fact is he's the most reliable of the three and he knows the characters better than anybody. Whedon's book keeps slipping off schedule, and Milligan fluctuates wildly between pretty damn good and utter crap. And no one else can write Psylocke, Rachel, or Magneto nearly as well as Claremont. I wouldn't be surprised if CC is around for another 15 years.

Addendum: I know X-Factor is going to face an uphill battle to last, but with Peter David onboard I think it stands a very good chance. As for me, I'm just happy to have actual other X-teams again. I started reading the X-books back in the 90s, and I've missed having other teams like X-Factor and Excalibur.

I am so stoked about this series.

    PAD!

EVERY character on this team is a character I LOVE!!!

And with the recent news about New X-men making it look like it'll go from gold into shit warmed over, I'll need a book to replace it.

    X-Factor it is.

(oh yeah, rumoured secret member is that mutant they have been drumming up as important in House of M)

Jamie Madrox has always been one of my favorite characters. I could take or leave the others, but as long as it has Jamie, I'll read it. I wasn't a fan of the "2nd" X-Factor team all that much.

Ideally, I'd prefer a reunion of the Original X-Men/X-Factor :p  (but whatta ya gonna do?)

Hey yeah, that's right. I had completely forgotten that Rictor was introduced in X-Factor until you mentioned it (I've only read about the original team, not the actual stories). That does make his inclusion cooler.

Like I said, it's Wolverine. Isn't he important in EVERYTHING? :D

I really wanted to pick up the Maddrox series but didn't. Now I'm regreting it big time. X-Factor used to be so awesome and I'm really geeked about this news. November can't come soon enough.

X-Factor...I remember that book. I fell off of it after Issue 100 or so, but it was pretty good around those times. Whatever happened to Whilce Portacio?

He was one of the seven original founders of Image Comics, but the only one not to found his own studio. Instead he worked out of Jim Lee's Wildstorm studio. He created Wetworks and did some work on Marvel's Heroes Reborn stuff. I don't know what he's currently working on.

Yeah I remember all of that...it's just that after Heroes Reborn, he dropped off the face of the earth. He had a very unique style that I took a liking to.
