I was thinking the exact same thing.

 

I loved this ep, I thought it was awesome. I have never considered the idea before that maybe Ratchet is going to be the hero of the story, not Optimus which would be a good thing in my mind since Optimus is the default good guy hero of Transformers. I can still see Ratchet being made Magnus and then turning the role over to Optimus stating that he is to old/tired to do it and wants to retire.

 

Someone mentioned Megatrons original plan to open the space bridges and have the Decepticons invade. I was thinking, couldn't he just go pick up all the 'Cons in Omega Supreme? And then they all pour out of OS and attack Cybertron à la the Decepticons in Autobot shuttle attacking Autobot City in the movie.

BTW G1 Tracks voice is not based on Thurston Howel III, but it's the same sort of lock jaw voice... I got corrected by Mike McConnohie at OTFCC 04 when I asked him that. Sadly I don't remember the name of the character Tracks voice was based on, but it sounds pretty similar to THIII.

Awesome episode. The Drunkwave theory was particularly hilarious. But there's one thing:

Well at least we know why his bottom half in car mode is red.

 

I wholeheartedly agree with the concept of Ratchet becoming the next Magnus. That would make for a very interesting twist to the Transformers norm.
The whole ground work is there for it too. Even in the premiere episodes we see a few scenes in where it's Ratchet giving Optimus pointers on being a leader.
To add to the speculation, maybe Ratchet, as acting Magnus, would make Optimus the new Elite guard Prime.

To comment on the podcast, the part where Omegus points out the scene with Sentinel saying "Omega S-" made me laugh. Because seriously, when I saw that part in the show, I honestly thought "I wonder if Omegus is going to point that out?" lol So that was funny.

That's why I said "G1 Track's voice", Just to make it clear to folks who might walk away from the podcast thinking Animated Tracks voice is based off the same voice as G1 Tracks. Though my post wasn't as clear as it could have been.

 

Your discussion of Fanzone's nose-loogies reminded me of the episode of Futurama where they visited a planet occupied only by robots, who had the horror movies of monstrous organic humans. Actually, that same episode used humans as a 'scare' enemy like Decepticons were treated in this episode. Heh, kooky.
