I had the opposite problem with the staff of a Boston Pizza - good floor staff, horrible management. Boston Pizza just happened to be having a half-off sale on beer at their bar on my roommate's birthday. Our hostess promised us when we made reservations that we could have the deal in the dining area because our group of 20(!) wouldn't fit in their bar. When we got up to pay during the night of the dinner, the computer showed the beer at full price. The hostess fetched her supervisor so he could override it, but he refused. His reason? "I'm not responsible for what my employees do." Uh, yes. Yes you are. You're the supervisor. Hell, the only reason we went to Boston Pizza in the first place was because of the sale, the pizza there stinks.
You know how independent robot companies are gonna be able to sell unique product to more than just TF fans? By marketing them to more people than TF fans. You can't just complain about the market not changing, because its a market of TF fans that want TF stuff. Yes, there will be crossover, but they need to expand their advertising beyond us. Why don't I see Fansproject stuff being announced on TheFwoosh, or even better, CollectionDX. Maybe if they started to look at more general avenues to market to, their not-Transformers related stuff would be more warmly received. Also, maybe we need to stop associating these independent toys with TFs. I mean, I even share the blame with this, as I have Steelcore with my Classics. And I just looked at Vangelus' videos for Steelcore and Glacialord, both of which have his "transformer styled" opening.
