A warning/word of advice to Vangelus, and anyone else who hasn't read Exodus.

There are many discrepancies between Exodus and WFC. Probably more than your average book to movie translation. It's best to treat it as separate-but-similar time line, but there are concepts and ideas that can probably be applied to War For Cybertron. Such as the story behind Dark Energon, or Optimus and Megatron's relationship before the war.

I also think the book will serve as a better prequel to Prime.

    This...

There are plenty of things different in the book from the game. Not a bad read despite no solid ending and a few errors here and there but there are plenty of things that save it. It's riddled with homages from every facet of the franchise (Lightning Strike Coalition?! They were only in a small section of the Dreamwave comics!) and the connections to certain things really worked well.

I'm thinking of having a discussion on the book on an upcoming Canadian Slag since I know at least 4 people who have read it...we'll see :p

PS: The book did Ultra Magnus justice...so maybe my opinion is slightly swayed :)

Yeah, I hope he gets more screen(page?) time in the next book. If there is one.

Gaaaaaahhhhh!!! I still need to read Exodus.

Edit: Vangelus, if your still playing the game, Switch the control options. You might find it easier to play once you switch off default, especially in multiplayer.

I want a dramatic reading of Exodus by Vangelus. Accept no substitutes.

It's probably best to think of Exodus as a "Multiverse Hub" where practically any continuity of transformers could be spun out of this book.

One thing I do like about it was it gave future writers an out from the Bayverse idea of "Cybertron's dead without the All-Spark". However, continuity is not Bay's strong suit, even within each movie. :p

    As for WFC PC version:

Bad things: No achievements or DLC. There's a PC "Trainer" software patch that allows you to cheat the game.

Good things: No in-game voice chat. You can use a programmable controller since the software doesn't support re-mapping keys without modifying one of the INI files.

One thing I did notice is that certain hosts who had "Clanmates" would have them drop and reconnect which would reset their score and allow the Clanmates to team up. I found that lead to extremely unbalanced game play. That's the risk of PVP though. The more organized team will usually win.

Sorry about the noise on my audio in the beginning. It was really hot that day and I had a fan on. Sounds like the mic was picking up the wind from the fan.

I dig this game it has its faux pas, but I like it. Has for MP I barely scratched the surface, but I get to that pretty soon.

But I love the Godzilla reference when you guys talked about the battle with Trypticon while he's falling. So yeah it was cool, would love to see a Godzilla/Transformers crossovers though.
