I am so worked up right now.....Thx for answering my braindead question! I submitted the same question to MB2 and Canadian slag, I will consider the final tally canon. Or at least fanon. Actually, I'm just going to go with Protomans answer....

I might be one of those guys who counts figures and tracks them on a spread sheet. I guess you can say I've been really collecting since I could buy my own transformers but I have some of my G1s that survived my younger brother.

I actually put them on the spread sheet 2 or so years ago when I realized I had a lot of toys and looked into insuring them. A lot of them were sealed up in Rubbermaid bins and in the closet I figured i had 150 or 200 not counting minicons but i ended up with about 700+ when I was done. It took about 2 evenings with some help from my girlfriend typing and I was done.

The problem now is remembering to update the list. I'm about 6 month behind.

As far as insuring them they ended up being covered within my homeowners insurance but documentation is key. Pictures are also good and a collection video is solid gold. Plus you can post it on the ole tube for chits and giggles

I'm the one of those people you count their Transformers figures. I don't think I count the Minicons either because to me their just army building, but when I have time I'll count them too.

As for this FIBRIR or vice versa question to me I go with the cartoon, but still its a whatever you guys want them to be.

I'd say that Frenzy was black with red bits, Rumble was blue and appeared a lot of the time whilst Frenzy didn't appear as much but seemed cooler. but I agree that the red colour backs up frenzy's nature more.

I've been seriously collecting again since 97-98 but like Vangelus I never got rid of any of the TFs I had growing up. When I started tracking my collection in spreadsheets, I was trying to piece together a complete G1 collection and needed to figure out which ones I still needed as well as which ones to replace from my youth. From there it just grew to become an easy mechanism to keep track of what figures from older lines (BW, BM, CR, etc) that I was trying to complete.

As for how to count them, I have four columns. The first column is whether I have the figure (1 = yes, 0 = no). The second column accounts for duplicates (i.e. for my 2 20th anniverary Primes). The third column is for the "bot count" that being the number of robots that came in a specific package. So armada figures would count as 2, minicon packs would count as 3, etc. The last column is simply the number of duplicates times the bot count, or "Total bot count".

This also made it really easy to figure out which figures to put in my sales thread.
