Honestly, I'm okay with the trailer for Earthrise Optimus. I mean, for this one time, y'know

My main pushback against "make the part do something" is I feel like that thinking is how we ended up with "hand foot guns" in Combiner Wars. After messing with the hands and feet for Computron and Victorion, I am even more incentivized to say that partsforming is fine when that's the best solution. Would I love a new Arcess design that doesn't need partsforming? Hell yea. If we got it, would a certain subset of this fanbase piss and moan that she "isn't G1 enough"? Also yea. I also point to Constructicons and Predacons and the gymnastics people did to justify how unsatisfying those individual bots were. "It's ok, because all anyone cares about is combined mode". Cool, but what if we could have had both by way of them giving us dedicated hip bits? How is it different than weapons being separate bits? Also, honestly, I could not care less about weapon storage. It's cool if it's there, but I am also fine with keeping bins around for extra bits.

In regards to Roller missing from Leader Class Optimus, I reckon he\'ll be released as a repainted, possibly retooled weaponiser Fasttrack.

Totally agree that there is just something about Earthrise Starscream that just feels solid and makes me feel okay about owning a few more of them. When I first pulled it out it was undeniable that its influence was the '06 classics mold but this felt to me how going from the original Leader 1 to the super gobots version felt in the 80's. It's the "same" toy but better.

Glad to hear Starscream is good. I don't know if I'll go for the coneheads, but I could swing the main trio (also I TOTALLY predicted this was how they were going to do the seekers when ER was still WFC part 2: main trio + different trio + deep cut one off).

I'm content with prime's trailer (and you are a wrong person). Lacking a roller gives a couple third parties something to do. That said, I don't know what I would do if they pull off the hat trick and push a completely perfect Prime.

Starscream fires the first shots on Earth which starts the war on Earth by virtue of allowing Optimus to be repaired.
