I unironically like that Soundwave altmode. We need more spaceships! I can't wait until I can take a big fleet pick with Shockwave, Soundwave, and the Refractors (and maybe multiple legends Shockwaves as escorts). The fleet! The fleet! I just need like fishing wire to hang them from the ceiling or something.

Edit: We'll miss you Seth! Best of luck in the future, and I still look forward to seeing your pictures when you share them! As a last hurrah for Seth on this particular podcast, you should do a special foursome cast for the Bumblebee movie!

Thank you Seth for all the effort you've put in over the years, you'll be missed but given the circumstances don't think anyone would do otherwise.
Out of curiousity do you think the shockingly poor distribution in your area had anything to do with the diminished interest in Transformers?

As a listener I never felt you were being unfair to us regarding seeing news for the first time as we just get your first impression ms which are sometimes the most honest imo.

However do sign me up for listening to WTF@TFW, WTF@GGG(Generalised Geek Gabbery) (Vangelus and Aaron can get their own spin off so should you) as your off topic talk was often some of the most entertaining podcastery I've listened to.

Then you can legitimately talk about wrestling, speaking of thoughts on AEW Double or Nothing?

On Soundwave's alt mode, didn't mind it at first but it's growing on me since getting Soundwave in person and not just seeing pictures.

Nice fleet there, but I'm more jealous of that fat stack of TCG goodness in the back being honest.

So to the listener questions about alt modes I will say that this brand is pretty old at this point and if the current style of the seige alt modes doesn\'t do it for you there was a really strong period of generations deluxes that have earth alt modes and might do it better for you. Jazz, Prowl, and others have a totally suitable Chug alternative from that time period. Soundwave may not, but I still stand by that the Music Label one could totally fit that position for you.

Haha, most of that is opened and sorted now, but I ended up having enough success in RoTC events that I'm giving a box away on my youtube channel now if you're looking for cards!

After that intro, I had to keep listening. Battletech was my jam and that’s where my nickname is from. I read Decision at Thunder Rift before the Hobbit. And I can still recall the rules and stats of everything 3025...

FASA bought a third party license for images from Macross, Dougram & Crusher Joe. What is real amusing is it came full circle when a Japanese version of Battletech was made. They redesigned the mechs like that episode of Akiba Rangers with the American Power Rangers.

Haven’t played it in years, but did pick up the new rule books for the shelf.

I certainly didn't help but i have been on a slow decline for a couple years now. I started collecting as an adult in 2000-2001. Coming up on just under 20 years is a long time and I'm on the decline in toy collecting across the board. Painting miniatures has come back in a big bad way for me right now and that's where my money is going right now. I had all but stopped posting here on the boards years ago because I realized as new people were coming into the fandom we were having the same conversations about the same things over and over and I didn't feel fresh anymore. I was getting to the same place here, feeling like I was just repeating myself alot. "It looks cool, I like it, I'm probably not going to buy it". Going off topic while an irritation for some people was the only part I was really enjoying anymore. Then changes at work was the last straw.

I don't know if the plan is to bring in someone new or split Aaron and TJ but either way it should freshen up the show.

I would like to do another podcast at some point but need a little break right now. I told Vangelus if he had an idea for a different show he thinks I would be good on then I would like to talk about if we could make it work.

Oh, I think we all assumed it would be kind of like Sati. Vangelus, Aaron, and TJ would erect a funeral pyre and immolate themselves in honor of your podcast passing. Is that not what will be happening?

    I. Love. Seige. Soundwave. Period. The ship-mode is great, the lamppost thing is cute (I feel if I had a row of them it would kill). I tend to be more down on alt-modes if I don't feel transformation is happening. MMC's Megatron comes to mind. I'm a hair more annoyed with most of the Autobots because the alien designs are just a streamlined version of their earth alts.

Farewell Seth. Best wishes wherever your interests take you.

I have yet to see Siege at retail IRL and is it just me or has e-tail made it stupidly hard to get individual toys now? I finally got some Seige (G1 Optimus, Soundwave, and the cassettes) and I had to go Amazon because everybody was selling the wave packs. The worst part is younger me wanted this! I was into being complete and couldn't get the ones Hasbro short-packed. Now I'm pickier and want to spread it out and the only option may be Hasbro Pulse, who has zero reason to charge less ever.

Thanks for all the years of great content Seth! I find myself in a similar boat interest wise as hobby painting has taken up a lot of my attention recently and Transformers has become something of a side gig. I'll hope to see your works on Instagram and to keep seeing you on the threads from time to time.

Just to correct something Chris mentioned, Thundrik's Profiteers ( the aforementioned Sky dwarves) aren't led by the dude with the balloon but rather the guy rocking the big under slung cannon with Alchemic equipment on his back. They are certainly complete opposites of their fellow dwarves the Fyreslayers being 80% fleshtone paint scheme but the models do look great with all the metallics highlighted. 20190512_172225.jpg 20190512_172221.jpg 20190510_193732.jpg

Hey Seth! I didn\'t listen to the whole podcast before I commented here. We will insanely miss you. As someone who got into this podcast in early high school (around 2008), your conversations were things that not only pulled me into the fandom, but also as Vangelus said got me interested in a whole bunch of other toys (3A specifically). I fell off the podcast in early college as it became less and less of something in my lifestyle, but picked it up again about a year ago and was thirlled to be welcomed by the same familiar voice that was around since I first started listening. I don\'t think I would be where I am as a collector or, more importantly, as a professional, if it wasn\'t for the discussions on this podcast. I know I said it before, but we will insanely miss you.

Furthermore, where Harmony Gold finally got the smack down out to them was it may turn out that due to international law differences they may never have had an exclusive license to the images overseas. The first chunk in the armor happened when they went after the SDCC Jetfire exclusive. After that HG went after PGI and Hairbrained Schemes and PGI bit in and refused to settle the lawsuit go until HG’s whole case fell apart.
