You are correct in that the Red Ranger topic came up in our conversation on the train. A few months ago the girls were talking bachelorette parties and one mentioned she say who she thought was him. This brought us to look it up and of course then we see the roommate story.
Listened to more of the episode. Seth, why do you keep going to that Walmart? You probably bought a newer TF from KayBee than there! And my one remaining KMart is a weird potential goldmine. They only carry Cyberverse and movie stuff but thanks to that, I found Rampage and used Freecash rewards to get $5 off. They also occasionally get newer Marvel legends
I wouldn\'t underestimate the deck building aspect of Shadespire just yet. Admittedly the card pool is small but the idea is to get the cards that suit your playstyle and warband best (Swarm, Turtle, Aggro, Control etc). For example if you are playing the Skeletons, you\'d want to play more to the Objectives capture playstyle since you have more bodies to spread across the boad, so Tactical Supremacy across multiple objectives would be great in your objective deck. Board set up is also rather critical since you could skew the board in your favor. One thing that sucks (or maybe if you like painting different types of minis is good) is that a lot of critical cards are spread amongst different factions so you might need to pick up an entire warband just for a couple of cards. But since the models are really really good (Sepulchral Guard are some of the best Skeleton minis I\'ve seen) as a hobby painter that is not interested in painting hundreds of the same model, the value proposition isn\'t too bad since a warband usually has 4-8 models at most and the variety is pretty cool (Eyes of the Nine, Zarbag\'s Gitz). I recently picked up the sky dwarves and skeletons on just a whim and enjoyed painting them up. I may pick up the Godsworn Hunt just to scratch a Barbarian painting itch. Not sure how Zenithal works. I think it works for some aesthetics more than others. I am very curious to see how GW\'s new Contrast line works when you paint it over Zenithal shaded models. Will likely have a really cool effect.
There actually is an Overwatch-styled Transformers game that seems to currently be open beta. It's called Transformers Online and is so far only available in China. Here's the tfwiki page here anyone interested: Transformers Online (2017 video game) - Transformers Wiki
BAF is a pox on late stage toy collecting. I'm trying to curate and you're demanding I "buy all our playsets and toys"
There’s also the Certain Affinity one under the same name which is currently in development. Maybe we’ll see something at E3 this year.
@Vangelus sincw the podcasts usually get posted a couple weeks later, have you yet to spot either SS38 or wave 2 of Siege in the east yet? Nothing at TRU or WM here in Vancouver/Burnaby, sightings thread on Cybertron.ca coming up empty too. EB games also stuck on Wave 1 of Siege, Wave 1/2 of SS save for Drift’n’Dinos who randomly showed up at Oakridge.
Regarding theatres downloading movies as opposed to carrying film reels, you are partially right. They aren\'t film reels but they do use protected removable harddrives as opposed to \"downloading\". I used to do security for movie preview screenings and one of our spots was having a guard sitting next to the hard drive until it gets picked up. This helps prevent them from being copied/stolen and pirated.
