Here's my detolf tip: buy some plain black pillow cases to lay on top of them. It covers the holes and instead of dusting you can just lift them carefully off and throw them in the wash.
I look forward to having that Mirage, Prowl, Ironhide, Hot Minirod, and Sunstreaker and just putting them on my existing normal Optimus and not dropping a dime on that white repaint!
Yes, in my house at least 95% of the dust accumulates on the top. If you keep the dust from sifting through the holes and in between the cabinets with a cloth that can be thrown in the laundry it can save a lot of work. It doesn't sit completely flat but it's hard to notice if you set a couple things on top of it.
I strongly disagree with Seth's notion that 3rd party "Masterpiece" pieces don't fit in with Masterpiece toys. When you get down to it, if you hold things to this extreme, you'll never get a perfect collection. Classics don't perfectly match the same style (or engineering) of current Generations toys. Even within the same company, if you switch designers, you are bound to change things. I mean, while MP-11 is roughly the correct size (to the holy scale, ever it be praised) he doesn't really fit in with the modern MP figures. And likewise, the upcoming Tracks, doesn't look like he fits in (with my idea) of the other current Masterpiece molds. I'll grant that 3rd party stuff sometimes clashes with some of the style in current MP figures, but they are getting better at this. I mean, if you've seen Spinout I'd say this is the closest I've seen from a 3rd party attempting to mimic Hasui's(sp?) style. But hey, for the longest time I had Alternators hanging out in my Masterpiece display, because there wasn't really a better option. 3rd party Masterpiece style is fairly new & I'll admit that they could improve on mimicking the cartoon likeness, and do a little less finger articulation, but ultimately there are at least a few worthwhile attempts. But see, I can appreciate what Seth is saying. And I have 3rd PArty mixed with official in my MP collection. And I also think that MP-11 fits in perfectly with the car bots. That's the great thing about opinions
Oh, I'm not saying that everyone isn't entitled to opinions, but when Seth states his opinion, he tends to stray into presenting as a fact. That's what I don't like about it, he gets worked up about it & goes into detail, to the extent that it starts to become tiresome. I'm not saying that he isn't entitled to his opinion, just that he could be a bit more circumspect in talking about it.
Mechanical Chain Base 008 - Displays - SirToys.com I remember vangelus talking about wanting to add in to his review display, and I think I found those rare base parts.
Hot Damn Vangelus you were in my neck of the woods 3 to 4 weeks ago, lol. Just catching up on some podcasts. I hope you liked the resort, what's your rating of it???
We had some ups and downs but I dug the food a lot! The duck poutine at the bar was gorgeous, as was the burger.
