I think the chapter markings are awesome, but they need to go in leu of the superb content; then there is no contest.

about the chapter marking, i use them, but i think is okay if you drop them, as long as you put the topic list on the tread

I only use the MP3 version, so I mind the chapters being gone.

I could definitely do without the chapter markings. I could probably count on one hand the times I've used them and went "wow, I'm glad these are here!"

Also, as an AFOD (Adult Fan of Degrassi) I appreciated the minor Degrassi talk.
And if Seth is interested in seeing the old Degrassi characters I suggest checking out the first episode or two of TNG. It's cheesy as all hell, but it let's you know what's up with everyone.
Joey has some interesting plots in season 3 (I think) that are worth seeking out. And Snake remains a main character to this day.

I always use the chapter markings and find it much easier to use them than to have to find the podcast page online and figure out when each chapter is

I like the chapter markings, but I never skip between chapters. I just like looking at the chapter images. But I'm not attached to them. I would not care at all if chapters went away.

I feel kind of weird for saying this, but I've found myself using the chapter markers in recent times to skip botcon/funpub talk.(A little less so in the last few months fortunately.)

They're also good for finding my place if I have to take a break and come back to the podcast later, but if they have to go that's fine.

Back when I had an iPod, I did find the chapter markings useful, and would get a kick out of the images.

However, my BlackBerry doesn't support either (and does some silly things with the m4a in general), so if they were no longer part of the podcast, I honestly wouldn't know the difference.

    Crazy Canadian phones...

Pretty much. I use them sometimes to skip around, but I normally listen to an episode in one sitting while I'm doing other stuff, so it wouldn't bother me if they went away and Vangelus just attached images to the first post in the topic thread, similar to what Crasis does with Preorder66.

Anyways, in regards to people not remembering the director behind the new TMNT movie, it's not like they're marketing him in any way. Yeah, Jonathan Liebesman's name appears in the credits at the end of the first trailer, but it's only for like two seconds compared to the big "PRODUCED BY MICHAEL BAY" thing that appears in the middle of the trailer. Besides, Jonathan Liebesman is basically the poor man's Michael Bay, so it doesn't make *that* much of a difference either way. :lol

Oh, and Hellboy was released 2004, two years after the first Spider-Man and six years after Blade basically revived the comic book movie genre after Batman and Robin killed it.

Oh, and Wolverine's the main dude in DOFP because Kitty doesn't exist in the past. Not that it matters, since it's probably gonna suck and undo the good work First Class and The Wolverine did for me personally in reviving my interest in the Fox X-Men Movies. Onore Bryan Singer! :lol

THANK YOU for calling out the horrendous "journalistic" styles of i09 (and by extension the Gawker network's entire style) and how they covered the movie preview. Dislike the movies all you want, but that's honestly the most unprofessional way to handle coverage of an event you were invited to specifically to spread the word with your coverage.

    Just... goddamn.

I think the chaoter markings can go, because I don't think many people use them to skip, other than spoilers, but you already out spoiler warnings in the recording already.

Less post-production would mean there would still be a topic list, it just wouldn't be timecoded. Going through and getting the timecodes would nullify a lot of the timetable gain that would be had from moving to MP3-only.

Also, the MP3 would have its bitrate doubled to match the quality of the current M4A version.

I love the chapter markings but if they have to go, then that's fine.

Though, I will say I really do appreciate the pictures included in the "New Pic Picks" segment. I've always found them super helpful since I don't consume TF news 24/7, and would otherwise be lost without them.

I use the chapter stops every time. I'd miss them, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.
