you guys are boss. And oh jeez or man it's surprisingly fun to listen to you guys speculate after already seeing part 3 myself.

 

I love how these podcasts sound when you already have knowledge of the following episode, not even because of episode leaks, just when you guys are behind on Primetimes. It would be neat if Primetime discussions were more relevant, but I think I prefer this now.  

As one of the mindless hordes, your speculation in this one is the best.

When Prime pulled his repeat of last episodes fighting alone all I could think was "How did that work out for ya last time?"

The walkways inside Unicron with the bulbous growths going off the sides look a lot like the rings on Unicron 86!

Cheers for the mention of my post in last primetime's thread  

Something that occured to me literally as I was listening, did it strike anyone as odd that Megatron's eyes were purple the entire episode (or nearly all, if I'm misremembering)?

CRAZY THEORY:
In the past, Megs has had the purple eyes only when actively using dark energon, or anytime after having visions, "hearing Unicron's thoughts" and the like. Which leads me to the idea that Megatron was being subtly influenced by Unicron, completely beneath his notice. Unicron wants Prime, so Unicron just taps Megatron's thoughts ever so softly. Megatron already feels betrayed, so it's simple to plant the idea to team up with Prime and the 'bots in order to take down Unicron. Unicron's motivation? Megatron is too insignificant to be worth anything as an ally, but he could be very useful as a tool he can discard the instant he doesn't need him anymore. So, set him up to bring the Disciple of Primus directly to his "heart of darkness" so he can overwhelm and kill him. (I'll intentionally avoid the spoilers of how it turns out ;-)
Of course, if he took control of Megatron directly, it wouldn't really be Megatron, with his motivations, reasoning, etc. and Prime, knowing his archnemesis so well, would be alerted and more suspicious than he already is. So, just BARELY nudge him in the right direction, let Megatron proceed as is his nature, and voila! Megatron thinks everything he's doing is of his own will, Prime allies with him and proceeds directly to Unicron's spark. Trap set, baited, and shut.
Also, it could explain Megatron's rather abrupt turnabout from doing all he can to convince Unicron of his worth, then going directly to Prime and offering his assistance to take him down.

Just a crazy theory that'll never get any evidence in the show...

 

I honestly thought Megs was leading them to a trap as well. Maybe like offering prime to unicron to be in his favor.

 

Of course, any further discussion on the subject is moot without referencing the events of part 3, which i'm reluctant to do in the podcast thread about part 2  

 

I haven't seen part 3 yet. Waitin on da hub. Lol thats just my thoughts when I watched part 2.
