    That's not my point.

It's hyperbole, in regards to the argument that because something's been done before, means it's always a good choice in the future. I recall most people cringing at the scene I'm referencing from the film. But, it's been done before, so maybe it's justification for more Transformers urination in the future? Put another way, I'm ambivalent to the kissing scene, but I find this particular argument in favor of kissing robots silly, hence the comparison.

Okay y'all I hate to mini-mod but maybe we just carry on from this discussion? Getting really off-topic.

So we know Mayhem has Axer on their side to cause some havoc - it seems likely to me that they're probably their own branch of the Rise out to instigate their own revolution on Velocitron.
Also I'm liking this lineup of Wreckers and how they're portrayed. A stunt team who are actually still doing their covert black ops work, but their work isn't sanctioned by Cybertron or any other authority, using the crazy stunts they pull as a cover for their real operations. That's actually really creative and I hope something more comes of that idea. And Aileron! She's pretty cool here, last character I expected to see as a member of the Wreckers.

Thank you! I wish people would make a separate thread for that one panel…

I just wish this group was more toyetic. Two of them have existing toys and one of them has one coming up. The others… not so much in the way of modern toys and one has nothing at all. I also hope (and I’m sure this will be an unpopular opinion) they don’t go with Wreckers tradition and brutally murder half of the cast. I’m really liking these characters together and would love to see them grow and evolve together.

I really hope Aileron gets a toy someday, her design is adorable. She's so friend-shaped. :D

I'm not partial to the character, but I'd like a toy of her too. Oddly, to me she looks kind of like a feminine take on Armada Hot Shot, it could work for a premold since Hasbro seems to like doing that so much these days.

You have a very pleasant tone and I appreciate this message. I understand why you have a good name here.
I apologize for my tone. I probably should've taken a different approach, based on your latest messages I'm sure a different approach would've worked better. I hope you can accept my apology.

The reason I chose to make such an outrageous (and obviously false) claim is the above quote. You're asking me to think why. What I read was an insinuation regarding why I wouldn't think it weird if Optimus and Elita were kissing. And that's from a gender preference point of view.
Despite understanding the point you wanted to make I just let my annoyance get the better of me instead of asking for clarification. I obviously misunderstood, I sincerely apologize.

I would like to add one more thing to the discussion and then I'll drop it. We'll focus on the future.
Because in all the commotion (caused by me) I'm still not sure if you fully understand what I'm trying to convey. Or maybe you do and it's superfluous.
Do you know what's going to happen when I read this comic with my son? He likes Transformers. I've been teaching him English using some Transformers comics. He's currently going through the Cyberverse Cartoon. But he doesn't know Knockout and Breakdown.
When he sees this, he's not going to think or feel anything. He's not going to give it a second thought. At best he'd might think "huh, reminds me of my teacher."
And that's both great but also kinda bad.
It's great because we really shouldn't bat an eye to two guys or two girls kissing.
But also kinda bad, it's a big panel in the centre of the page. A kiss is supposed to be romantic. It should mean something to everyone who sees it.
Do you know what my first ever (American) comic(s) was? It was a Marvels Transformer collection which I inherited from someone who'd grown out of transformers.
It contained Shooting star (the comic where Megatron is an amnesiac gun and is used by a gangster) and a whole bunch of the Underbase saga including Dark Star.
I had no idea why Megatron was amnesiac. The comic didn't tell me. I knew Megatron, because I watched the G1 cartoon. We could've had Megatronia run in and kiss him and I would've shrugged. Not like she factored into the cartoon I was familiar with. Why would I care that they're together?

There's no need for every work to contain every backstory ever told, but this still seems to me like such an easy and inoffensive fix that does nothing but add more depth without even causing the current story to miss a beat. Show them together in the background, seal the deal with a kiss. It's better storytelling, more accessible to everyone doesn't change anything about what's already in there.

Yep, now 5 in this thread. I registered on this forum because this is the only place I see people actively talking about the comics. I like talking about stuff I like. And I like being critical of the stuff I like.
So all my posts started here. :)  I'll probably slowly fan out as I generally do. I might visit the toys forum soon, because I need some purchasing advice for the aforementioned son.

I have taken the time to reread my post. I have slipped up there. :(  I generally try to not attack someone personally unless I choose to, for example when I want to make a point. My post started critiquing her post, but I slipped up at the end and made a general statement of not being worth talking to. Probably because I was angry.
I don't know if this forum has an @ function, but I do hope she sees it I do apologize for saying that you're not worth talking to Bee. It was overly harsh.

I think the MAIN point here is that if you’re arguing about a kiss, you’re veering the thread off topic. Reign it in. The hostility also is done.

So Signal Lancer, am I right? Again, never thought I'd see that dude again, especially in the ideal context.

Issue 2 - I like the "public persona conceals covert ops" idea, though it makes the Wreckers spies rather than hardcore commandos with a tendency to have a large body count. In fact we're told in this issue that the injury is the first one for the team in a long, long time. So I enjoyed the various members doing some recon, trying to get the lay of the land before the race begins. This all still feels like setup, but hopefully we're done with that and on to the action as of the end of the issue. I enjoyed the previous continuity's concept behind the Wreckers, but it's refreshing to have a different concept and different characters this time around.

I would love a separate thread for that panel. A separate book too.

"Suggestion noted, and ignored" as Megatron once said.

I read Transformers comics. I comment on the content of those comics. I praise and criticise those comics as I see fit.

Sometimes I will praise something someone else dislikes, and criticise something that others like. That's just the universal nature of giving feedback.

There is no "NO CRITICISM ALLOWED, POSITIVE COMMENTS ONLY" mandate here.

What I expect from Knockout and Breakdown's relationship is no more and no less than what we saw in the Prime cartoon. Which was, you know, for kids.

Well, you're not going to get that, because that was ten years ago and you probably wouldn't get that in the cartoon if they made a new one. Ruby and Sapphire kissed in Steven Universe, after all. By the way, they're space rocks, but they kiss each other sometimes because kids understand that this is what married folks do.

And no, there's not a "positive comments only" policy here, but it's natural to wonder if something's wrong when a record keeps skipping and playing the same four notes all the time. (For those of us who remember vinyl.)

I think this idea for Wreckers also fits with the state of this universe too. If there's not been a war (or even a murder) in recent memory until recently, there's not really a place for massive body count type warriors. Any kind of special ops team would need to hide in plain sight with a cover story because there really aren't any warzones to pop-in, pop-out of.

Finally got the chance to read the issue and it was really nice to see Circuit and Axer using their action master vehicles. We rarely get AM homages in general, and even then we almost never see the vehicles or partners.

Ah guys this argument about the kiss is a bit like the row in the sw fandom about the lesbian kiss seen during the celebrations at the end of the rise of skywalker. In fact that scene was deleted from screenings in certain countries.

Let's focus on the story overall. In both cases it's pointless focusing on two small scenes. Both are kinda irrelevant to the overall story unless the story focuses on just these characters.
