    Hopefully narrated by Chris McFeely.

I would also love to hear Chaos Theory acted out by Peter Cullen and McFeely, or Tatasciore (who was my go-to guy for IDW Megs till Chris' reading).

If it was done in an entertaining way maybe. Like if it tells a story from beginning to end within the framing of a manifesto instead of trying to write a full fucking treatise for fictional robots as if that wouldn't be a huge waste of time. Like don’t get me wrong, for a contemporary prose story it would have legs, but being into getting to read the “actual lore document” that the “real megatron wrote” just makes you a huge nerd. No question.

    A. I would only read if it's written by J Robert's.
    B. Maybe Hasbro can crowdfund payment for him

    ...No?

    It's literally Mein Kampf.

Do you need to see in detail Megatron's plans to "liquidate" people? Because that's what you'll get. Like, the bent of his ideology is a totalitarian one - peace through tyranny. Do I need to make it any more clear-cut?

Towards Peace was written before Megatron got all genocidal and he was still a staunch pacifist, that's what makes it interesting. It's content, from what little we've actually seen, is entirely about criticizing the Cybertronian Senate rather than rationalizations for future Decepticon war crimes.

Not only are your facts wrong, and your use of literally improper, but you couldn't even say "no" without hedging with a question mark.

No. Megatron and his characterization was definitely one of the more cringe parts of late-stage mtmte.

    No.

Much like Calvin and Hobbes "The Noodle Incident" it's much better just to know Towards Peace exists without ever having a copy of it in hand. Because I can picture some version of Megatron sitting down to write that, but I don't want anyone to try and actually make it "real" because then you'd read it and question it/analyze it/review it and start to question how Megatron got to where he is.

It's okay for bits of lore like that in fiction to remain unexplained.

I would, I really liked the
"Terminus, I've lost my way" scene.
Being able to read what his way originally was would be pretty cool IF. Big if it wasn't just a copy and paste of the cliff notes to the Communist manifesto/das kapital /the red book with the word capitalist crossed out and switched for autobots or senate.

    The proverbial ship had sailed.

Therea two reasons why. The idw continuity that it refers to is finished and it woukd confuse casual readers who might think its connected to idw2

Second Roberts wrote a prise story at the back of a mtnte issue which didn't go down too well and he said he wouldn't do it again.

    So I'd say no

I'm pretty sure that if you asked James Roberts to write Towards Peace, he'd tell you to just go read some Tony Benn speeches. Like, the crunchy specifics of what was written in Towards Peace 100% don't matter to the story that he was telling in his comics, and I'm sure he'd much rather people inform themselves about the real-world politics that he cares about and which inspired the politics of MTMTE, rather than him or you wasting time going into the fine detail of made-up robot space politics.

Peronsally, I'll hold out for Magnus' "Terms of Peace". That'll be the real page-turner.

I'd personally like to add an addendum the answer I gave here back in 2014:

I'd still very much like to read 'Towards Peace', but in the same way it can be educational or insightful to read any propagandistic manifesto written by a madman.

It'd be neat if Roberts had wanted to make the whole thing, but I don't know if I'd ever want to actually read it cover to cover (even back at the peak of my love for MTMTE). I can go read actual treatises on this sort of stuff, I don't need one that's basically the same thing but replaces real-world concepts with "alt mode" every so many lines.

Either way, that Megatron's story has come and gone, and the actual contents of Towards Peace wouldn't really expand or change the character. We know the life Megatron led due to writing it, and that's honestly enough.
