I was just thinking, because I feel it would be rather interesting to see a book from a fictional Transformers perspective (like Covenant of Primus), would you ever read, and therefore purchase Megatron's "Towards Peace" if IDW published it, or anyone else for that matter? I would like to have more "in fiction perspective" and I think this would be a good start.

    Sure, I absolutely would.

As long as it wasn't written by the ding dong who wrote the Covenant.

Hell yes I would. Definitely needs to be written by Roberts and Roberts alone, though.

If it was written by either Barber or Furman...maybe. Otherwise, no.

Only if Roberts wrote it, but I don't want to see it happen since it would probably necessitate JimBob taking time off from or outright end writing MTMTE.

Ah yes, have it written by two writers that have not a God damned clue what it would be about.

Of course I would provided it was wrote by Roberts.

Short story legnth would be satisfying for me and I think having it as a series of prose stories at the end of several issues of mtmte would work or maybe if they do a season 2 Annual putting it there could work.

A companion piece to MTMTE written by Roberts would be nice.

if he it was written as if Megatron wrote it and not just a MTMTE flashback sort of book I would. Granted some comic/pictures wouldn't hurt as long as it went with what is written.

Eh, I kinda feel like all the relevant points it could convey were made succinctly yet thoroughly enough in that one page of text last issues.

Not as a novel, but as a comic definitely -- when written by Roberts since I've loved all his pre-War stories.

Yeah, probably. As long as James Roberts writes it. I think it would be pretty interesting.

    Exactly.

Seeing excerpts from it in the comics is one thing, an enjoyable thing that I wish to continue. Reading page after page of prose about the distant past of one particular Transformers timeline is quite another. Selling Megatron's Mein Kampf for actual dollars is probably the last straw that would cause our culture to collapse into a Meta Black Hole.

So I guess my answer is "no."

It'd be a chuckle if that one page we read was the entire thing.

Megatron is probably closer to Marx than Hitler. Proletariat worker, and he even wrote "Religion is the engex of the people" on the manifesto.

Oh, wait, hold on. That one page wasn't from "Towards Peace", was it? That was one of his pieces on the evils of functionism. He didn't write "Towards Peace" until during the war, and it was about his philosophy regarding warfare and how it would be fought and won.

I don't actually even want to read that. I doubt it would be anywhere near as interesting as his opinions on functionism - not least of all because, well, we know that whatever went into it, he ultimately went back on it all.

Yes if hypothetically Megatron wrote it I would read it, but I think in reality I would rather continued little exerts. I fear it would take away from its mystique.
