And if you did, would you prefer a one-shot Evolution title, or a multi-part series (4 to 6 issues)?

No story, no art, just on the premises that it's RID, and promised to be much better than that shit Dreamwave put out last summer.

Would you be interested in a one part or multi part RID series?

That depends. The cartoon blew, but the toys rocked. If the comic started from scratch and rebooted/created it's own continuity, then I'd give it a shot. If it continues/retains the goofiness of the 'toon, then I'd skip it.

Perhaps, but no chubby wubby robots. I would like detailed and none of that out of proportion robots that I keep seeing. I would go for a one-shot deal. If they can tell a nice story in a one-shot then perhaps they can progress to bigger stories. I just don't want to waste my money on a story that has a stupid climax that ends at nothing.

Unless the story was beyond fantastic, no.

Ditto. The toys and designs were GREAT, but the show (and characterizations) were incredibly childish. Way, way too goofy for it's own good.

If we could have a RiD title with art and a faster paced (and similarly more teen than kiddie oriented) story than the Energon comic, I'd buy it.

You need a straight 'No' option.

Unless it involved a level of brutality towards Sideburn that can't realistically be shown in comics.

Does it have the word 'Transformers' on it?

    If 'Yes' then I would.
Though I'd prefer it to be in the same line as the more recent comics and not the RiD cartoon, in terms of writing, and the comedy aspect throttled back a whole lot.

Ditto, I suppose if the art and story seems pretty good, I wouldn't see a problem w/ it.

Hell yeah! RID was the show that got me back into Transformers. I lost interest after G1 ended but once I saw the toys for RID, I was hooked and reeled back in. I know the show was a little childish at times but the character designs were awesome. I'd rather see RID than Beast Wars.

I must be one of the only people in the fandom who liked the comedy aspect of RID; it didn't take itself seriously because that's what it was supposed to do, and it succeeded in giving me a new TF series that proved most enjoyable.

Still I could understand where people might not like the same formula in a comic, because after all the comic media has a certain standard.
I'd love to read stories about the RID characters; whether or not they retained the style and feel of the show, but I think I'd prefer a new take on the series maybe using some of the non-show characters for both sides. Bruticus was a neat toy in my oppinion and deserves som love... Ditto on Destructicon Bludgeon, Dreadwing & Smokejumper and Megabolt Megatron... Give us RID. :thumb

Absolutely. I really liked RiD, even the show. It had its wacky moments, but a lot of the characters were really interesting. Bring on more Scourge, Magnus, and Sky-Byte.

Well if the art is like Dreamwave and the plot is completely different from the anime then YES.

I'd read it but will probably disagree with any direction it goes. I'll read because if's TF RID but I have my own opinion on how the universe should be

Well, the writers for the RID comic better be able to s*** literary gold or I wouldn't read beyond the first issue.

However, that said, I'll admit that I'm a slut for TF material so I'd quickly pick up the first issue of an RID comic to check it out.

    *EDIT*

That's probably a bit harsh. I'd likely follow the series, but if it reflected the cartoon show - just a goofy story and the characters dancing from left to right foot like Speed Racer's dad and Skybite providing 150% of the stale comic "relief" - then no, I wouldn't follow it.

What type of story would you guys want to see?

    A cartoon sequel/prequel?
An untold story of certain characters?
A comic focusing on non-show characters?
A feature on certain characters (Scourge, Magnus, Prime, etc.)

I mean what would be the IDEAL RID comic for you.
