Also, for simplicity, you are an American. You live in America. And America's economy is not currently slag.

There is a man with three boxes. One blue. One red. One green. He has appeared inside of your room, just he and you alone, and he gives each box to you, and he explains...

"If you press red button, someone in your family will die within the next 24 hours, but you will be given a $ 1,000,000. It could be your father, or your mother, or your sister, brother, children, uncle, or cousin. Someone who is a part of your family only by marriage does not count. Officially adopted family members count. Do you press the button?"

"If you press the blue button, a friend will die. Family is excluded. It could be a friend you met on the internet, like the sexy, handsome devil MasterZero, or that barrel of fun, Meta777. It could be a friendly co worker. It could even be your wife or husband, girlfriend or boyfriend...You will be given $1,000,000 after their swift death."

"And finally, if you press the green button, some random person anywhere in the world will die. It could be some random child in Africa, some politician in Sweden, some no name emo teenager in America...it could even be yourself...Like the others though, you will be given a $1,000,000 after the death....if you yourself have not died."

"So...What will you do? Will you press all of the buttons? Just the red one? Just the blue? Just the green? Or will you take that crowbar under your pillow and shatter my skull, stomping my reign of moral questions and drama? If I die, all the buttons will be broken forever, and no, you cannot press the buttons and then kill me."

"Your move."

 

No button and i tell the guy to GTFO with extreme prejudice.

 

Well at least someone realizes the economy is still slow. Yes, hiring and housing sales have (somewhat) stabilized but the only reason that hiring has (slightly) picked up is b/c wages have been suppressed enough to make it worth it for employers to hire a little-but at pretty low wages while the rest of us continue to make a pretty flat wage...

 

What about The Muffin Button?

 

If a mod sees this counting as spam, then so be it, but to me this is more about the moral and philosophical debate about whether or not it is ethical to press any of these buttons?

 

Yeah, this seems like a pretty interesting topic to me, as most people will at least ponder the idea of pressing the green button. At the end of the day tho, I don't think I could do it. Not only would this be creepy as fuck & worthy of law enforcement's intervention, but even the idea of trading someone's life for personal wealth so directly is pretty sick.

 

I think I saw a movie like this. The Box or something.

Since the green button might possibly kill me, no buttons at all.

Green button. The odds of me dying are one in seven billion, and I'd never actually know for a fact someone died. So, yep, green.

 

No buttons and I then pronounce his name backwards, sending him back to the dimension he came from.

 

I press the secret fourth button, which kills the guy and gives me the $1,000,000 dollars.

I chose the last option. That way he can't get someone else to push any buttons, and kill a potentially innocent life.  

 

What I'd do is I'd realize this was a dumb movie and then ask him to leave.

 

I might as well mention it now. If it couldn't be traced back to me? I may just press that red button and kill someone in my family for money.

Before you call me a bad guy....My mother is a mean bitch who once said my friends were ashamed of knowing me, and my father is drunk who is killing himself with cigars. The only member of my family I'm close to are my brothers. I have a very big blood family. The chances of them dying are 1 out of 1 out of 15.

I'll take my chances.

I wouldn't be PROUD of it. I'm not saying 100% I'll do it.

But I just might do it.

Why did i press any buttoms? What do i fear? Who do i hate?


The Answer is nothing, Because i want no purpose to.

Plus my wife/Girlfriend will be Safe and Sound. A family member will die.

And while i do not care for my family i reconize their innocence to this event.

So why?

Not for the money.......For the reason of nothing.
