Like, a Transformers series sold digitally that's completely audio-based you could listen to like a podcast? I think due to the very nature of its production, it'd be profitable; just voice actors, writers, and sound mixing. It'd put all of its emphasis on story, of course, with no fight scenes and limited combat storytelling, but I think audio dramas are super underrated, and I'd love a Transformers story I could listen to while doing other stuff without getting lost because it doesn't need you to focus on any visuals. Obviously I wouldn't want it to replace animation, but I think with how small of a production it'd be, it wouldn't need to and could run alongside whatever TF cartoon is on at the time. Just an idea that popped into my noodle.
I think I would be up for it. I love radio dramas and an audio production of Transformers would be a very interesting and fun thing to listen to. Of course, the narration or the characters themselves would have to describe the actions that are happening during combat, but that allows us to use our imagination much more.
People don't even have the mental capacity to read Transformers just talk, if the comics are anything to go by, I'd wonder if people would be able to stomach listening to Transformers talk.
No... I mean I think Transformers HAS to be visual. It is TRANSFORMERS after all. The only way I could picture an Audio Drama working is if they sold it along with an art book showing the designs for every character in the story... or base it on existing continuity so people can easily visualize what the characters are suppose to look like.
