I just got the remaining Dinobots and I like them enough but think an upscale (maybe Weijiang) could be beneficial. The combined mode isn't the best mostly due to how small they are. I'm not majorly into the clear plastic either.

 

Upscaling won't fix Grimlock. Just give me a new Grimlock, and use Hasbro's 4 limbs.

 

I think Grimlock is fine except for the combiner ports being shoved into him. If those areas could be remolded to have hidden ports and look right he'd be as good as any other grim we've had.

 

Voyager size would be fine.

Actually the DX-9 Dinobots upscaled to large voyager / leader would be pretty cool...

I really like the animation look of those.

 

I'm fine with the MFT-upscaled versions of the DX9 dinos. POTP offers me nothing that I want, even if they do improvements/fixes.

Nah. They're pretty weak imo and the combiner mode looks awful compared to things like Shuraking.

The only I would is an Upscaled Slash if it fit in with any of the 3rd part MP Dinobot sets. I'm curious if any will try and design their own slash. I know FP had their own Fem-Dino-Bots, but the lingerie paint job on them was too hilarious to take seriously.

 

nope...some of them are okay, but Grimlock is just a big fat no.

 

I saw Sludge and Snarl today at Wal-Mart. They are both terrible and I won't be completing them.

Picked up Rippersnapper, though.

I'd love for Grimlock to get a better looking tail (more smooth, instead of a brick) and for Sludge to not look..like whatever he looks right now. Add a more hefty angular outward chest like his toy. Better head/face as well as each individual dinobot getting red swords AND guns.

Yes. They should also remove the combiner parts to improve Grimlock's alt mode. I buy dinobots for dinobots, not for the crappy combiner Hasbro decided to make up.

 

Sorry but no thanks. Potp dinobots are purely kid's toys, nothing more. Not worth upsizing or getting improved materials.

 

I really just want an upsized and improved Swoop. Improvements being inner arm panels like with the OS headmasters and such. I wouldn't have interest in any of the others. Hoping that's Wei Jiang's next project, and that it's not a full set we'd be forced to buy.

They do look kind of terrible, and since learning that the Toyworld Dinobots are voyagers...
Honestly, couldn't Toyworld just do a better voyager Grimlock and maybe Swoop instead?
