Did you like the avengers vs transformers comic? Would you like it to happen again?
No I would prefer the justice league
I didn’t care for that crossover comic but the main problem with it was that it was really short in that by the time the story was getting started and had been established it was time to bring it to a close and it felt self contained and inconsequential in that the events that took place affected nothing so it didn’t feel like there was much point in reading the comic at all.
Marvel and dreamwave have had slightly better results by setting transformers vs G.I.Joe in existing continuities or by taking experiments like that retro World War Two themed on.
Idw tried to address the problems with the Avengers vs Transformers comic and other crossovers feeling too shallow when it attempted its own big crossover event when it brought in loads of other toy franchises like M.A.S.K, micronauts, Rom and G.I.Joe into their existing transformers timeline to create their own equivalent of an MCU but each of these franchises had to have their backstory introduced so for me the size of all of this ambition in the comic format where individual issue are not cheap became a little too expensive as it felt like it was costing a fortune for comics that in my opinion had slightly weaker storytelling than the main line transformers comics that this big crossover event had rudely interrupted.
Maybe a successful crossover story could exist in a television series where they could take their time to introduce the different backstories without having to charge the viewer a fortune for the experience like idw ended up doing.
Yeah, the unused promo art for the DC/Transformers pitch is way more interesting than what we got out of the Avengers/Transformers series
Damn that looks amazing
Avengers Vs TF mini was terrible. Let's not do this again.
Idk tbh but the designs for the transformers were pretty bad.
No and no.
Not interested in a TF/JL crossover, either. Nice artwork, but I can't begin to imagine how lame the story would have been.
I'm not a fan of superheroes.
...Well, maybe Power Rangers, but still, not big on superheroes.
Moreover, I don't really like crossovers very much either. 99% of the time, crossovers cross over bad combinations of franchises. I think crossing over the MCU could work, but only with certain superheroes involved, and only certain TF continuities. I would hope that the point of making a crossover is to show how two franchises can synergize and build upon things in ways that couldn't previously be done solo, rather that having a dick measuring contest to see if Lantern Corps Superman with the Infinity Gauntlet (don't even bother telling me that's part DC) could win against Underbase Starscream with the Dark Spark or whatever.
Idk but come y’all don’t like the transformers x avengers comic?
No. I don't like the avengers.
Wow...never thought I’d here that.
I want to see Megatron vs. The New Warriors. And stomp on them.
In theory I'd like to see a Transformers/Avengers crossover that isn't tied down to an existing continuity.
However, that would invariably mean it would be the generic, synergised "MCU but not really" fluff that pervades ancillary Marvel stuff, which sucks.
However. A miniseries comprising 5-6 self-contained issues, each of which pairs a different Avenger with a group of Autobots? (Hound and Captain America in World War II, Perceptor teaming up with Ant-Man and the Wasp to take down Magnificus and Ga'Mede, Captain Marvel and Alpha Flight against Cyclonus and Scourge...) I'd be down for that.
No. Avengers (and the Justice League) sucks in comics now.
Tbh the avengers were no match at the start and lacked a lot of characters. Honestly if marvel wants to have a crossover at least include powerful characters. The avengers where easily defeated by the weakest versions of autobots. Dc would be a lot better and the marvel one was to short.
No, crossovers are notoriously bad written.
Green Lantern Optimus Prime would almost make this worth it, but...I don't know that I'd like to see Unicron in the context of the DC Comics cosmology.
Because that cosmology is a mess, and Unicron is already kind of messy and difficult to deal with, writing wise. Because I wouldn't want to see him as just "Anti-Monitor 2" or whatever else this hypothetical crossover would make him.
Separate names with a comma.
