From what we've seen since the announcement about the Dinobots, we've seen that they have taken the personality of Knights. But would have you preferred something else like Army soldiers, Cavemen, or something else?

Army soldiers? Autobots vs Decepticons was practically the Autobots being soldiers of war.

Quite honestly, I love the idea of knights and 1 samurai! But sticking with them being 'soldiers of war' with guns and hand blades (not massive swords) would have been cool when they ride the Dino's.

Personally, not really. We already got army soldiers, which is essentially the entire Autobot team. The Dreads were immensely cavemen like so I would cross that off the list. We haven't seen knights in the movieverse yet, so I'd like to say it was great choice on Hasbro/Bay's side. Diversity adds more unique combat styles.

I have nothing against it. I like that they are knights, I just wanted to see if anyone objects to this.

Dinosaurs aren't usually things I'd associate with knights, but I could totally see why the designers might have gone that route. There are few other things that could fit with dinosaurs thematically.

It works for me, but I think I would prefer Barbarians instead. But the Knights theme makes the jousting make sense.

    the alternate route I would take would be either of these 3 things;

    Vikings

    Spartans

    or Gladiators

I don't really object to them being knights - but its a little annoying that they manipulated the robot modes to make them mirror the typical knight designs and typical samurai designs. I dislike how they are trying to connect everything that happens on Earth to Transformers in that respect as it makes the TF universe seem smaller.

Transformers really doesn't have enough guys with a knight motif.
Also I don't remember anything about them having knight-based personalities... Maybe I just haven't read enough of their bios.

I would have preferred something other than Dinobots period. The movie versions don't even have decent alt. modes like Transformers in the movie-verse should.

some toy descriptions mention them bing knightish. whether they are referring to their looks in robot mode or personality has yet to be seen.

I figure it only refers to their visuals in robot mode, just like how Optimus is knight-ish in design as well.

Personally, I would have gone for a sort of Mongully Genghis Khany sort of look with them. But I'm cool with the knightly look, it's odd thematically being both ridden and resembling those who are traditionally riders, although that would have been true for a Mongul theme as well of course, but it's very unique and works really well, so I'm a happy bunny.

Knights is a pretty cool concept, one that I'm happy with.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with them for films 5 and 6.

I'm really hoping they still have projectile weapons though. Even if it's something more primitive than what the Autobots have. I can picture Grimlock carrying a handheld, giant Ballistae and using it to deadly effect.....like a supersized crossbow that fires 10 foot bolts.

Big fan of the Dino-Knights. Love it.
