I think the thing to do at this point would be to just go all in again on "Masters" and relitigate the Titans Return lineup- but this time allow for Targetmasters and Powermasters to be a thing alongside Headmasters.

The TR aesthetic is really still heavily IDW influenced. It'd be great to make new versions to bring them into the War For Cybertron level of design. Characters that already have modern era figures like Pointblank and Needlenose can be reissued with updated decoes and/or new heads.

Take a year for each sub group. Headmasters - Targetmasters - Powermasters. Hasbro can roll Road Caesar into Headmasters and LioKaiser into Powermasters to fill out the lines. Do a new titan Fortress Maximus (and a new Grand Maximus from the new mold for Powermasters) and a new Metroplex with Sixgun for Targetmasters.

Yes, but then again I'm kind of sucker for the whole Headmaster/Targetmaster/Powermaster shtick.

Hey if Hasbro wants to do super articulated minifigs like the Legends versions.......fantastic.
Want a more simply version like the Battlemasters(especially if they are like Lionizer/Pteraxadon/Smashdown side)...........great
Want a more retro but slightly modern like Pointblank and Needlenoses little buddies........no complaints from me.
Hell if you want to go balls crazy and bring back something like Arms Micron(just not the put together idea oh god the translucent bits........)........I'm all for it.

Just none of that Power Core Combiner silliness, most of those personally weren't very good at all and quite frankly I don't like that level of translucent plastic on such a small figure.

Honestly, those could be better if those kinds of targetmasters are better off released in the Authentics line.

I rather liked Power Core Combiners. The "Weapon"masters were, unfortunately, either unwieldy or literally unwieldy, as in a character struggled to hold them like a proper gun due to weird peg placements. I'd love to see a return of these but with a more universal Scramble City style set of limbs and ditching the springs. A deluxe class bot combining with Core Class figures would be even better.

Concept wise I quite like them because they are rather reminiscent of the minicons from the Armada PS1 game, execution wise that's where I have issues. A lot of them weren't targetmasters, you slap them on the vehicle and that was their main gimmick, being weapon for whoever was completely secondary. Transcluent plastic at that scale is just asking for trouble.

THIS! Scoop’s target masters are perfect! They’re not overly huge and they’re not quite bricks. Absolute great compromise.

I do like the idea of blind bag, Legacy Peacmaker style Targetmasters.

No blind bags!!! 1) I don’t want to have to buy 35 of something in order to get the 7 that I actually want. 2) Do you really want to watch PvP opening a whole crate of these?

What are we becoming here, Pokemon card collectors?

You mean the thing they should have done in the first place? I agree, they should do that.

We'd just need to develop our LEGO blind bag fondling skills.

Implying I'd ever watch a PvP video :lol

Hell no. I would buy targetmasters if they actually put effort into them though. Btw I wish they did more often

Instead of brick targetmaster 2 packs, I would rather a return to single pack articulated battlemasters but with some more creative weapon modes and maybe some combiner weapon modes like a new Star Saber, Skyboom Shield, or Requiem Blaster.

    1) I refuse to turn into the near middle aged man version of an elderly woman thumping on fruits in the produce section.

    2) Thew opening a crate?

One of the few I’d ever watch open a crate of blind bag targetmasters is Emgo. He’d at least have cringey jokes.

I’d also watch Chefatron, but not because I like him or find him useful! Nope, I’d watch him because he’d be reduced to impotent infantile rage after his 3rd or 4th dup and it would be a fantastic meltdown to watch.

Targetmasters could be so fucking cool.

Instead we always get generic-looking, poorly-articulated (if at all) robots that "transform" into robots folded in half with a tube sticking out of their ass and I'm expected to call that a gun and like it.

    I hate G1 Targetmasters.

It's high time now that Hasbro should revisit the Minicons, they handled the small Micromaster size and the Targetmaster like weapon modes pretty well but with a range of diverse alt-modes and robot modes that weren't strictly formulaic unlike the Battlemasters and well the two aforementioned masters before them. The ones I think would work the best are the triple changing Minicons, like the Air Military and the Emergency teams, transforms into vehicles as well as weapon modes that aren't your standard gun stick, things like a missile pod, a pistol, an arm mounted claw, a shield shuriken etc. Now some aren't going to fulfil the true Targetmaster art of being handheld weapons but at least being mounted on the arms is close enough to that idea. Some PCC Minicons did do that okay but the 5mm peg locations could be better and not be translucent.

If we got Minicons that can turn into a pistol like Prowl, released in Core Class since nowadays that's the best spot for them and bundled with Energon Weapon (the original Energon/Superlink weapons not the ones from Legacy) like parts with 5mm pegs and Minicon ports to make them as customizable as the Arms Micron AND not be translucent plastic I'd say we got the perfect weapon bots.

What if they did what megabloks does and include a tiny hole to help you narrow it down. Ie. Hey you want a red one and this series has two red outta of the seven. I personally enjoy the blind bag experience, while I can understand not getting the one you want sucks.

As for number 2. No not pvp but there are other youtubers I watch where thats thier shick. Their reactions especially to the ones they don't want are often hilarious.

This is exactly the reason we need blindbags now lol I don't know whats worse chefs babymeltdown (dude seriously started weighing his figures) to pvp over use of the word lazy to the point you can turn it into a drinking game.

Nah, needlenose and pointblank have the worst targetmasters by far. If it was a single core release, maybe I'd be interested but as bricks they're just boring and I wish they would have given guns that homage the targetmasters like spinister did
