Would you buy better heads for 1986 characters in Titans Return line?

I was just wondering.. How hard would it be for a company to make more G1 animated faithful head sculpts that do not look so blocky for characters who were originally NOT headmasters, like for instance, Scourge, Galvatron, Kup, Hotrod, Blurr, Powermaster Optimus Prime, etc? I don't understand why these characters could not have kept their target master/powermaster gimmicks... Would you prefer the head still transform or just sold heads that can somehow be stored in vehicle mode?

If they can still transform without removing the heads then yeah I would.

I would. Can't stand the goofy-looking heads we got with these characters. At the very least, a Galvatron upgrade is needed.

I really would like a solid Galvatron head that fits in the chest in cannon mode, not just a helmet to go over the titan master, but a nice SOLD head that plugs into the port. The Titan master can just stay in the cockpit for all I care. It would be nice for the characters that have more rounded heads like Hotrod and Scourge to have heads that fit in vehicle mode or have the head open up in half to find sculpted figure inside, or even have the heads turn into a weapon or something to fit on top of the vehicles.

I would for Kup Galvatron and Blaster, even more if they're just standard non-Titan Master heads.

Not all of them, but Galvatron needs a proper head.

I would love a kit that could make them headmasters, or just be stored inside while attached to the neck.

The problem lies in what to do with the heads in vehicle mode.
My collection is centered around my fanfic and as such it actually makes sense for these guys to become headmasters, i mean that wasnt the plan but its a happy coincidence.
In other words i dont mind much, and if you got to partsform anyway i'd rather partsform with the head becoming a pilot.
With Galvatron its a different matter because it is feasible to produce something to fold a new head into the cavity i think, but it will be costly and the customer will have to disasemble the toy.

And what would also be nice - as the OP hinted - are targetmasters or at least gun-attachments to replace the faces on the titanmasters.

Probably would, regardless of whether the original toy was a headmaster.

I don't think that's possible in some cases.

Assuming they were faceplates for the Titans Return figures, and they came pre-painted and color-matched to the US/Worldwide releases...and they weren't outrageously priced...yes.

I kept looking at the Shapeways faceplates with great interested, but the basic fact of the matter is: I'm unlikely to do custom paint work for my figures. I don't have a place for painting and its a lot of work (especially for a piece so small) that I don't want to do.

And yes, it is a lot of work--I used to work for a game story and the manager required me to buy whole armies of Warhammer figures so that I could understand and sell them better. (And yes that is true, and ridiculous.) I am at a point in my life where priming, sitting down, painting, then finishing/sealing a face place for a Titan Master is too much work.

If someone were selling factory-painted faces for say:
    IDW style Hardhead
Masterforce-style Minverva (color matched to Getaway/Breakaway's body)
    IDW style Hot Rod
    G1 style Nightbeat

    At a price of 5$ to 8$ a faceplate, I'd probably bite. Or a four-pack of the above for $20 to $30.

I've already bought a second Breakaway just so I can put Loudmouth/Siren's head on his body to make Siren/Goshoota. I have found myself liking this gimmick far more than I thought I would.

Different faceplates maybe - depending on who it's for - but "better" is dependent on what? A "solid" but still detachable head for a head that already comes off isn't a big enough draw for me.

Maybe a solution for Galvatron's stupid mask that doesn't cost the Earth AND suck would be welcome.

I would love if there were kits to make them non-Headmasters, but looking at the figures it doesn't seem like it is possible.

Galvatron's heading folding into his chest would be cool, but I'm assuming you would need to pop a pin or do a significant mod to make it happen,

I like the sculpts of the heads though, I think they look great.
