Would you buy a rerelease of POTP Predaking with new, individual swords/guns per each team member and a giant sword for combined mode, for $200?
I like the set enough that, like with UW Devastator and it's changes, if the Predacons were given their G1 weapons, a better big gun and a nice sword for Predaking, and maybe some added paint, I would probably go for it.
Meh, I have the POTP Predaking with the DNA upgrade and a set of G1 weapons for all of them (5mm pegs FTW) so I wouldn't do it myself but I wouldn't begrudge HasTak for re-releasing the set again for people that missed out the first time.
I personally wouldn't buy it because the current one is just fine, but throw in the DNA kit and it's one of the best combiners in recent years. That said, I certainly wouldn't begrudge anyone a second chance and getting new accessories. I'm down for that, at least.
I really like it in combiner mode, it’s just the individual bots are just so bad, not worth $200 IMHO.
I’m actually hoping and waiting for a downsized KO of the POTP Predacons, like what KBB did with CW Constructicons.
I voted no. I got this Wei Jiang one for about US$130 including sword and sticker sheet. The sword splits into individual weapons. The wings, fists, gun, and head have been upgraded over the stock Hasbro version. Normally, I don't buy KOs, but I had just gotten Siege Omega Supreme, so I felt lucky to be able to find and afford this from Ebay. The plastic doesn't feel like a KO and is just as good as my Hasbro toys. I'm okay with it as is.
No, but if they made a new Predaking that's approximately the same size as most CW combiners and where all Predacons are the same size I'd buy that.
