Just curious, would anyone buy a new mold of Unicron, made to accurately recreate his look from the movie, or are you satisfied with the one you got already?

I probably wouldn't given the change in design philosophy at Hasbro. I would buy a reissue of the 2010 release though.

As long as it looks like an actual Unicron type planet and not like somebody stepped on it & smushed him, and it looked like him in the Movie, then ABSOLUTELY yes.

Unicron's an awkward character. He's so out of scale with everything else that it's difficult to work him into a collection. No matter how cool he looks, he just doesn't work well IMO.

Not all that necessary since the 2010/Amazon one does a pretty good job. But if it were significantly better I'd take it.

I'd happily buy a new Unicron mold... but only if it was bigger than I am.

    Prohibitively expensive or GTFO. :D

I'd love a Masterpiece Unicron. Not to scale, of course, but something more accurate than the 2010 version. The alt mode isn't a proper sphere.

Got the 2010 version. I might would go for an updated version, but it will have to wow me. With the green eye/hand led mod on mine a new one has to be spot on for me to drop mine.

Something like this wouldn't be to scale, but I would consider it adequate:

I like the Armada mold enough. It scales well enough with Cybertron Primus, which is the only thing Unicron can actually scale with, given his size and I honestly doubt anything today's Hasbro would put out would be all that great.

Let's see it before I give a yay or nay.

But I do think Armadicron can be improved upon.

The Unicron I wanted was Beast Wars Neo.

I really like my Armada Unicron, but if I had the $$ and the room for the G1 version, I might get it.

    Pretty much this.

I hate to vote yes. The original had to many issues for me to jump on board. (although the Takara reissue was tempting) If they'd made a Unicron as good as Primus I would have done it.

The problem is now Hasbro's designs are so poor it would probably be worse than the one I couldn't quite get behind.

But if they released a good enough one, I'd be VERY interested. Especially if it was Metroplex size.

if the quality was good and was well articulated.. absolutely. the armada mold isn't bad, but i think with better engineering it could be much better. but seriously, if they made a new one, it better be at least as articulated as the previous.

He's out of scale even in the movie! :)  In his fights against the Transformers, he seems to be Metroplex-sized even though he's about to eat an entire planet. The makers of the film probably figured that a more realistic approach would have looked less dramatic (look - there's Cyclonus firing randomly at a metallic plain!).
