I don't think people would hate them so much if they weren't gangster wannabees and didn't take up too much of the film's attention.

I really liked the idea of two younger Autobots that were maybe a little immature joining the ranks on Earth. They could fool around in the background and narrowly escape the worst of situations in one piece but have a shining moment towards the end and become full fledged Autobot warriors. I thought this is what the production crew owuld go for and I was looking forward to it.

Do you think they would be a little more accepted if they didn't talk the way they did, didn't curse, and weren't in the forefront so much?

 

I probably wouldn't mind the Twins as much if they weren't wannabe gangsters who hogged up too much screentime.

 

They didn't take up a lot screen time. They just had more screen presence because of their personalities, which I liked.

People might like them more if they stop taking them so seriously.

 

I like the Twins. Especially Skids. Hate if you want to.

 

i personally liked the twins allot the first scene with them in the ice cream truck mayed my laugh out loud lol was so awsome.

honestly i can understaadn why people didntn like that and thast ok.

maybe if there tweaked enough in the film people will like them. having them "grow up" so to say. im pretty glad there in the film well hopefuly in the film.

They were hit and miss with me. I liked some of the stuff they did but I would have been ok if I could trade some of it for more screen time for some of the other 'bots.

 

I wouldn't mind them as much if their little antics actually ended up being funny. They made me chuckle probably only 3 times.

 

Well, I felt they were a teense superfluous, since we already got a good kid-appeal character with BB.

Still, if they weren't wangstas, I wouldn't mind them.

I liked The Twins just the way they were

 

The way they were portrayed was brilliant. They perfectly lampooned those who act in that manner, and I thought they were in the background most of the time. With only a few exceptions, their lines were NOT the primary focus of the what was going on at the time.

 

Yeah they should not be so stupid wannabes that no one would talk to in real life and they should not have such ugly faces. With such a face I'd run laughing into a buzzsaw.

 

I like the twins the way they are.
Ive got a strong feeling their personalities will mature in TF3..

I don't think being immature was the problem. It's not the first time we've had a younger Autobot or Maximal that still needed to grow up. In Animated Bumblebee's human form was a kid to show that he might be a robot but he's still just a kid.

The faces sure didn't help the characters. I'm not sure why they thought super ugly and dumb as bricks would make for appealing characters.

I think it's the want-to-be gangstas that really caused the problems. Maybe I suffer from too much empathy but after you've seen enough grieving families on TV who have lost a child to gang violence or been a correctional officer over enough guys that threw their young lives away on a gang you really start to hate the people who ape the culture. Somehow I don't think the rich kids playing gangsta have a grasp of the impoverished dysfunctional neighborhoods that real gangs came from.

I was really quite surprised how shockingly little screen time they got. And I quite liked the ganster wannabe personality. They were total losers. We know it. Everyone in the movie knows it, but they don't, which is funny.

I hate when people call them racist because they weren't, they were just two really stupid kids trying to act cool and tough.
