would it work imagine kup sitting on a chair telling some young protoforms some of his war stories
I think it would work better as a one-off episode, where he tells a few short stories, each more outlandish than the last.
I'd love this.
Do you think this could be a cool story for him to tell? maybe to new recruits.
And his audience gets increasingly skeptical!
Problem is, his stories: "I am an awesome warrior hero, and these are my adventures!"
His real story: Cybertronian Janitor.
Grandpa's off his meds, and has been drinking too much Energon again.
I think it'd be a great narrative device to tell some cool stories from the past.
If it were approached like the movie Big Fish, where the stories ARE mostly true but not in the way the audience interprets the words (for example, the 'Siamese twins' in Big Fish were assumed by the man's son to mean conjoined twins, but were actually just twin girls from Siam), with the viewing audience (but not the in-show audience) getting to see what actually happened and when there are exaggerations why Kup makes them would make for a pretty good show.
The Storyteller with Kup in the title role? I want this.
You'd be surprised at the adventures a janitorial warrior has to overcome, kid.
Not show, but definitely 1-season mini-series of about 10/13/16 episodes.
This sounds like a fun idea, however...the series would seemingly never end and we'd have something like 12 seasons because the stories would go on and on, and go off on a tangent.....
And the last episode is someone dragging Kup off screen as he says "No wait! I haven't finished telling them about the Hugeons on Xylon 3!"
Hmmm so it'd be like the opening of the "End of the universe"episodes of Transformers Cyberverse?
Always thought Kup's war stories would make good episodes.
I'd be down for it. Always wondered as a kid about Kups adventures he was one of my fav characters. Millions of years of material all over the universe. Also start of Cybertron war and such.
Oh yeah sign me up.
A "How I Met Your Mother" Styled Series Set entirely within the timeframe in the 1986 Movie between when they escaped Earth and the Decepticons next attack and Kup is narrating a Forrest Gump type absolutely crazy war anthology story of young bumblefuck Cadet Kup becoming the grizzled gregarious veteran we all know and love, meeting basically everyone important in Cybertronian history somehow. Set during the 2nd Cybertronian Civil War at first so there can be lots of characters showing up from all over the place as part of THAT era and he has a few golden age (between 2nd and 3rd wars) peacetime stories maybe as a cop, stories later on he's sort of a middle aged jock commander kinda guy real glory days stuff when Megatron starts the most recent war.
Yeah that could run for years and years especially if he jumped around eras. All taking place within a moment in the movie.
Grimlock, The Dinos, and Hot Rod play the 'kids' part.
*gets to critical point in huge conspiracy story*
Kup: "Wait wait wait! I was mistaken earlier. That wasn't CROSSHAIRS with me it was POINTBLANK! That's important because CROSSHAIRS was actually one of our top suspects for being the Con' mole at first....but it WASN'T CROSSHAIRS EITHER. It was......."
"It was Molebot! Totally fooled everybody."
Also, he's acting it out with a puppet show.
I don't know if it would work as an actual half hour show, but as a series of animated shorts like the Star Wars ones, then totally.
That would be awesome. I always liked Kup.
Any decently written idea will work.
I just don't want Kup or Alpha Trion as the narrator. I never liked them. Ugly designs. I'd prefer Vector Prime.
Or Nightbeat relating cases of his past. Maybe Jazz if Troy Baker voiced him.
How about a Decepticon narrator?
