Gingham, Loafer, and Vroom are indeed major offenders. I was also never a fan of the names Galaxy Shuttle and Storm Jet -- something about the unimaginative literalism of having your altmode BE your name, it's a bit much.

I can't believe I forgot about CLENCH. That's truly one of the worst. Perhaps, maybe, the worst of all.

 

Wait, is it Brakedown or Breakdown? I thought it was break because he was always this close to breaking down.

Deathsauraus: He turns into a bird-thing, not a Dinosaur! Also, it's hard as hell to say correctly, since I want to add an "A" in-between Death & Sauraus.

Piranhacon: Not one of his members is a piranha, and the combiner itself can't transform into a piranha.

Also, it's not technically a Transformer, as it's a group of Transformers, but the group name Pretender Monsters sounds really bad.

You wacky guy. Deathsaurus is an awesome, badass name! And he turns into a dragon, that's dinosaurish enough. And on top of it all, his name was originally DesZaras -- "Des" as in "Destron" (Japanese for Decepticon) plus "Zaras" as a modification of "Zarak" (like Lord Zarak, MegaZarak, Black Zarak).

Piranacon (no H) is fine. The name evokes a terrifying underwater predator type Decepticon. Plus, Piranhas attack in groups, making it more appropriate for a combiner.

Bah. Nothing wrong with that, it's just a classification. Pretender Vehicles, Pretender Classics, Pretender Monsters... why not?

Now the BREASTFORCE... Oy vey.
