it looks like someone opened it in the store, and just left it:
Found an odd one. Seems someone swapped the Earthrise Prime for a Netflix one. I'd honestly consider this one if I didn't have the Earthrise one already.
I'd guess they either got caught by someone or at least thought they might be OR they just found out how disappointing that figure is and just left it.
I wonder if it's reduced because they know they got duped or if it's just standard post-Christmas clearance of toys that were just sitting around.
Ok the ROTF toys bad but not that bad.
To be fair, you can't know for certain that Morbius isn't just wearing First Order armor, you know.
No idea - I wondered that too. It took me a minute to realize it was a swap, so I can't imagine your normal employee (or really any normal non-transformers hardcore collector) would notice it's different.
I can tell you at least one WalMart here had the Netflix Wheeljack and Impactor figures for seven dollars during their after Christmas purge. They also had four dollar Halo 1:18 figures aplenty and a bunch of other relatively new stuff discounted severely.
It was very much a if it's on the shelf, it's now at discount scenario. The wildest part is that same WalMart had restocked the Halo section with the same assortment back at full price this last weekend.
It very possible the sale tag on this figure was part of a similar purge.
Anyone in the uk seen some bad jobs in a sainsburys? Just wondering
I’m more shocked they didn’t take the Battlemasters, those things look way better than a Prime with smokier windows.
That Tracks is a better value for your $20 than Elita-1 lol
Watch this comment poorly age in about 7 months.
Until 7 months and a day when the mandatory crippling QC issue is discovered!
I mean, it’s ironic when the figures that are SUPPOSED to split apart have had the least QC issues (or potential ones at least).
I actually pulled up ebay while was in store to see what is was going for to see if it was worth buying but most prices were $15 or less so I passed. I was just at that Walmart yesterday & it's still there, somebody tossed it on the top shelf almost out of sight.
It could have been a kid trying to open it to take it or just play with it. It's not unheard of sadly for some parents to leave their kids in the toy section or the video game section when they used to have playable demo consoles while they do their shopping. My aunt used to fill in sometimes in the electronics/toy section at her Wal-Mart in SC and she would share some stories. On the flipside, could have been an older collector who opened it up to swipe a small part of the figure as well.
They broke the heck out of this. You can save a whole 8.69 it’s only missing a head and hand
We all knew this was gonna happen.
On a side note, I'm glad my grimlock isn't the only one with tabbing issues lol
