They only needed Optimus to remove the barrier it had created around itself whilst embedded in the rock. Once that was gone, the sword wasn't defending itself and thus could be used by the others.

But only Optimus can tap into its special powers; the rest of them can only used it as a big damn cleaver.

You know, some of us haven't watched that yet. Seeing as how it hasn't aired. Thanks for that.

Because he wants to feel validation in knowing that his favorite show is at the very least better than the steaming pile of goat shit known as Energon

It was never even implied they couldn't move it around. When it was stuck in the rock, it was "eminating a protective shield", and Prime was needed to remove it. You could use it just like you could hit things with the Forge, even if you weren't a Prime, you just couldn't use the special capabilities. So, in a Primes hands it's a bigass sword with LASEEERS and in non-Primes hands it's a bigass sword.

    NOPE.

But don't worry; now that Bee is talking proper words, the audience will forget about it!

    Or else.

That does sound stupid looking back at Alpha/Omega. But why did they not name the Prime whose arm Megatron stole? It would've meant a lot more if we knew what Prime this was, nope, properly a random Prime who was just as forgetful as say, Nominus Prime.

People say it might be Sentinel Zeta Prime, even though his arm was blue and not red, but I still think we should have a name for it. Hell, it might even be Alpha Trion's arm, he is dead isn't he? But we won't know.

We'll never figure out why Rad understands Mini-Cons either.

Forgot about that shield that made the Saber Excalibur.

Bingo. This goes any criticism aimed at Prime.

Also, they probably won't ever explain why Raf and then Cody can understand Bumblebee. The show runners are probably thinking "Oh, he's like movie Bumblebee and can't speak! The kids won't care! They love the movies! Yay!"

Really wish Bulkhead was crippled somehow for the rest of the show, would have made a lot more sense (or he died and when Miko put on the apex armor, she becomes the next Bulkhead)

Confused. Are you describing the worst twist you can imagine or what you want to have happened?

I think we're looking at a case of 'six of one and half a dozen of the other'.

Sometimes what people want to have happened can also be the worst plot twist ever. I'm sure I've been guilty of a great many of them myself over the years.

Personally I think Dark Energon had something to do with it.

Dark Energon is always behind it. Megatron survived?! Dark Energon. Starscream on steroids?! Dark Energon. Dark Energon?! Dark Energon.

I have to agree with this... It would be like having the arm of Leonardo DaVinci grafted on to my shoulder and suddenly I'm painting masterpieces...

Great, I don't know why it took this long but I only now just realized why the idea of grafting an arm onto somebody supposedly gave the recipient aspects of the donor.

It's how they initially tried to explain Liquid Ocelot from the MGS series; he had Liquid Snake's arm grafted onto him for some reason.

Now I can't stop laughing at the fact Prime effectively made Megatron the same thing as the main bad guy for half of the MGS games simply to explain how he could use a giant hammer.

It's like those horror films where someone gets a donor hand grafted onto them and then the hand starts to kill people because it was once the hand of a murderer.

It's probably lucky for Megatron that the arm he grafted onto himself didn't also belong to a compulsive masturbater.

Megatron: "Well, this new arm did help me make my new sword. But the sooner I get it removed the better because my exhausted nuts now ache like crazy."

I bet Megatron was so happy when that arm came off and he could recover well enough to walk straight again.

The "Earth is really Unicron" thing was the worst, IMO. Just . . . what.
