there's currently a topic for the best, so here's one for the worst. I nominate BW Neo Sling. His coloration, and scrawny body just scream "garbage". he's got a generic, empty looking robot body, with beast parts just thrown on his arms, and a head literally hanging off his chest. I have quite a lot of BW figures, many that are widely accepted as horrible (Drillbit), but nothing compares to the horridness of sling.
Injector, poor, repulsive Injector. And from BM Longhorn, and Geckobot, and pretty well the rest of the BM beasts...
I don't have a lot of early BW toys, although I'm looking to expand my collection soon, but these are the ones I have problems with: TM2 Prowl - God, I hate this toy so much. It looks OK in beast mode, but the robot mode is terrible and the wing assembly is unwieldy as hell. I also can't manage to get this thing back into beast mode from the robot form. TM Rattrap - There's nothing inherently wrong with the design, articulation or even aesthetic of this figure. However, the Transmetal chrome coming off in chunks is a major detractor. TM2 Scourge - Another one that looks neat in both forms, but it's floppy in beast mode, has difficulty standing and there's a ton of awkward kibble in robot mode. TM2 Dinobot - Looks good, but there are a number of problems. The arms don't peg in place in beast mode, the torso doesn't attach to the 'spine' in robot mode and the tail is virtually useless as a weapon. The worst problem, however, is those stupid pipes on the (robot) wrists and ankles that restrict the articulation. While the pipes are easily removed, the instabilities can be frustrating.
never liked the figures like rattrap, where you would pulla the tail and they would transform, no imagination in those figures
Maybe not the worst figure, but Dinobots Slapper(I think he was called Bazooka in BW Neo) can get rather annoying due to the kibble on his shoulders getting in the way. His robot head also seems to have trouble staying up and tends to dissappear behind his back a lot. BW Neo Magmatron is also not a very good figure. He's just too awkward and clumsy for my tastes.
Slapper/Bazooka looks decent in both modes, but the perma-curve in the beast mode is annoying, and tucking the robot legs away correctly in beast mode seems to be more a matter of random luck than skill. BW Drill Bit has to get a mention here, if only because it's obvious from where some pegs and holes are on that toy (and the fact that they look like they should go together but don't) that there was some mistakes in the design.
I love that there's actually been a toy called Slapper. Makes me laugh every time I see it mentioned...
TMII Cybershark - not a good toy, bits popping off all over the place and it looked like a "crappy little elf" (from the Simpsons) in Battle Armour - though as it turns out it was just a decent repaint away from being OK. I personally have little love for the Predacon combiner - something to do with the way the arms worked. I wasn't fond of the Maximal one but at least that had a solid combined form.
