I mean the players didn't look like they were having fun. They were 3-0 up and none of them looked 'happy'. They were probably more concerned with getting through the last 15 minutes without serious injury. Watching the replays you could see instances where the ball had been cleared yet the Honduras player would still charge in leg high ploughing into the French player? Right in front of the Ref? Terrible terrible play.
after this last game for today, i'm playing back the recording i did to see how the France/Honduras game went again because i wasn't paying that much attention. ive been messing with my new guitar i got thursday. but i did witnessed one deliberate attack from honduras on france.
It was a hell of a lot more than one! There was a bit where the Honduras player stepped on the French player twice, maybe three times until the French player lashed out and the Ref booked both with yellows. A very mean spirited game methinks.
i know there was more than 1, it is just the one i saw. damn, i got to see that. i want to say 'it is just a game' but i'm afraid someone would hunt me down and try to kick my ass.
Yeah, it was very rough play by the Honduras players... Anyway, I'm not too impressed by Argentina's performance. Sure Messi's goal was superbly taken but other than that, they looked so-so. A team like Italy could beat them. I'm still undecided if I should watch Germany vs Portugal...the match kicks off at midnight in my part of the world.
As neutrals the one group game you don't want to miss is Portugal Germany. You can sleep when your dead. Love him or hate him Cristiano Ronaldo is always box office, whether producing tremendous pieces of skill or throwing himself to the floor. Germany are looking a little rusty at the moment, so I think the Portugal forwards with the ammunition supplied by Moutinho will be good for the win. A shame Nani and Reus are both injured.
Alemania bitches! This will help the US as long as the US can win a game. There's no way US will be on top of this group, so second place works.
Man the officiating this world cup is almost as bad as the officiating against the Rangers in their run to the cup.

Well Portugal Germany was a damp squib, I expected a lot more from the Portuguese. And the African teams (IC apart) once more stinking it up. Looking forward to seeing the highly fancied Belgiums tomorrow. Look out for the quality afros of Fellaini and Witsel, they can't be comfortable in all that heat.
I'm fascinated by the soccer "fan base" that turns out in America every four years. No one here gives two shits about soccer 100% of the time not known as the World Cup.
