So I thought I'd start a thread for all my work on my Kre-O Trypticon.

ATTACHMENT 1: So picture one is a failed attempt at a transforming Full-Tilt.

ATTACHMENT 2: The first pass at Trypticon's head.

ATTACHMENT 3: Second pass at Trypticon's head, with some modifications and a place to mount to his neck.

ATTACHMENT 4: the first step on building Trypticon a body.

ATTACHMENT 5: His body, starting to come together.

ATTACHMENT 6: The third pass at doing Trypticon's head -- but this time I've added a light-up feature!

Cool! But more Lego than Kre-O? I really dig the head.

just looked at the G1 toy and then back to this.....very close to the original toy.

A round of applause is deserved here, as this is a very well engineered design, and the fact that it walks.......awesome.

Quite brilliant across the board....and that Full Tilt is anything but a failure.

He does walk. Though... uhh... at the moment he's kinda struggling and slipping his gears. The more weight he gains the more difficult it is for him to keep walking. So we'll see. I may, sadly, have to dump the walking gimmick, eventually. Hopefully, not, though.

    Woo.

Trypticon is getting closer to being finished now. I've started adding a tonne of the surface detailing and beefing him out. When I add the side panels (As you can see here they're not built on yet) he'll get fatter still. Anyway...

You can see the new hip detailing using a transparent dome to give it a closer feel to the original toy's look. Not much more to say on this one.

He's now got a tail on, and side panels! and... boy is he getting close to being finished. I thought I'd never be able to, honestly.

(I'm already starting to think of how I'd do it differently for a second attempt.)
