Since I first opened the thread, actually. I mean, I can't think of another situation that would make me come up with it.
She's a 57 year old woman who will now be trying to train, house, vet, and control 5 young pit bulls...when one can be difficult enough. I think she has a lot more money than common sense. --Moony
While I feel sorry that she lost her pet, and feel glad that she got five new cloned dogs, I kinda also feel that selling her house was a REALLY dumb idea. Now where's she gonna live with those five puppies?
I can empathize here. I've got one dog that I would love to have forever. He's handsome, intelligent, and would make great puppies, if only he wasn't fixed when we got him. It almost sounds like I'd date him... Probably the same reason that when humans have to rely on artificial insemination it often ends in a multiple birth. If you only implanted one embryo the odds of a success are low, and it is relatively easy to make multiple embryos. Shotgun approach all the way.
Yeah, I thought about cloning my cat for a while...but I'd rather just give another stray a home. Seems like the right thing to do, plus it'll save me a few grand.
