Okay, I have to say that I had the best time out of my 4 years so far. I got to meet a ton of people and get some cool swag. So I went to setup on thursday with a friend of mine. It went smoothly except for the dock guy yelling at me for not parking in the right spot. He's typical dick dock guy so I really didn't pay attention. Setup went well. Nothing special. Got to get on the floor early friday which was definately cool because I could get in line for stuff first and see running fanboys from the dealer eye. Scary man, scary. Picker up my minimates from various areas. Iron Man set and Xavier/ Magneto from AFX and Punisher/Cap from Art Asylum. I also headed to the Avengers Panel. I think everyone wanted to kick the guy that asked if Venom would be in the Avengers book. Everything else is online about that. Otherwise watched the booth a bit and get autographs. I didn't feel like waiting for Bendis but I caught him later. He also personally invited me to his Writing School but due to a completely full room, I passed. I did go up to him and he agreed to sit privately sunday. More on that later. Saturday was awesome. Again we arrived early. My finacee and best bud went used our regular tickets to get in line for the Kevin Smith and Joss Wheaton passes. I on the other hand went to Rob Liefeld's botth to get a sketch, Apparently he wasn't just sketching, he was drawing. I waited from 9:30 until about 2pm and was 4th in line. Granted he didn't show up until 10:15/10:30 but that's still 2 1/2 hours. During that time, some guy tried cutting in front of me saying he got out of line at 9:45 to use the restroom. GUy in front of me, myself, adn the guy behind me all got on his case saying that it was funny that he was there are 9:45 when we were there at 9:30. He backed off a bit and eventually the guy in front of me finally told him to leave. Also Mark Millar walked by so I was able to snag him for some autographs right away. I also had to direct him to Top Cow. Poor guy was lost. So after all this, I got my sketch. Look below for it. I already got a frame for it. Immediately after that I ran to the Kevin Smith line and actually got through that in 15 minutes. Otherwise I went around to get Batman/SheRa chances and autographs. I got a Batman and went to Sean Chen's booth and got some original Iron Man art. Also got a frame for that already. Sunday was really relaxed. Got a few autographs but pretty much just waited for Bendis. At 3pm, I finally caught up with him but he had to run. He felt really sorry and gave me a way to personally contact him. Definatly a plus. Otherwise just hung out and bought Batmen and She-Ras for my dealer buddy (with his money). So finally the autographs. - DD Aftermath preview by Marv Wolfman - DD GIJoe Reloaded 1 and DW TF?Joe 1 by John Ney Reiber - DD Tim Seeley Sketchbook by Seeley - DD TF/Joe II by Tim Seeley and Dan Jolley - DD Voltron 1 by Jolley - Firestorm 1 by Jolley - Sentinel 1 by Sean McKeever - NYX 1 by Joe Quesada and Middleton - MK 4 by Steve McNiven and a sketch of Thing in a hardhat. About how much does it cost to attend Wizard World? Are there entry fees, fees for autographs, events...? I'm completely clueluess, but have loved reading the recaps of the panels online. VC
I hate you. Burn in hell. I kid! Great haul on everything else! Although I feel that the Iron Man Stuff is the tops. Any chance of seeing the Granov Sketch?
I'll scan in the Granov sketch tonight. Wizard only costs $45 for the weekend. Autographs and the like are free. Sometimes artists charge for sketches but very rarely. Otherwise all that costs cash is exclusives you may want to buy
Here's the sketch ArmadaJetfire I also have a cool IM sketch by Sean Chen from a year or so ago. I have a few more around also. Maybe I'll make a collection thread somewhere so everyone can post their stuff
