9/8/10 Update.... A ton of detail work completed, some of the electronics including a very rare and unusual lighting system in the head. About 85% completed... let me kmow your thoughts!







7/28/10 Update.... Lot of work completed on the chest, torso, and crotch. The chest splits in the middle and opens to allow the head to rotate and fold down in to the chest cavity. I have sliding and rotating swing arms mounted within the torso that allow the tank treads to not only rotate from the back to the chest for his transformation, but they also fold under the chest for helicopter mode. Still a TON of building and detail work going on. I now understand why so many retail release transformers do not follow concept as well as they can. The engineering that needs to be done is CRAZY...... this why I have taken some liberties in the design. I do hope to get his look as close as possible to the concept art. The tank mode will pay homage to the Cobra HISS tank, as I did not like the original dominator tank mode.

I also included a picture to show how stable and poseable this guy is!







7/24/10 Update.... Head 75% completed. It is 95% scratch build using only the face from the supreme Starscream, but that too will be modified. Many more layers to go on him.

Gonna bulk the legs up some? Looks good so far, I know you're "bulking him up" so hopefully the legs get hit since they are very skinny compared to the rest of the body..

As a triple changer is this a cannon character?

 

Looking good! Will be interesting to see your take on this.   Hopefully you will bulk up the legs though. They look a bit undersized compared to the source right now.

Oh yeah.... the legs are just structural right now, a ton of bulk will be addred.

I won't tell.....  

Encline is gonna scratch build his entire thing, should be a cool to have 2 different takes on him. The pieces that I am using were just WAY to tempting NOT to use.

I wish, but the original Dominator toy is the size of a Voyager class transformer.... it is tiny! I found GI joe scale vehicles that worked out perfect for this build and the size I wanted.

Actually, I am scratch building one. Just basically building the Donimator to be a little bit bigger than Prime..the original is really tiny....but if it was bigger!!!

I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
