WIp Revoltech Jazz 95% done Who's got the Jazz?! i had this 1 on hold for a while.....with not bein sure which body parts to use from other revos'.....I finally went with the Upper part of U. Magnus .. and the legs of Hot rod.....the combination of these 2 gave me a nice height.. i managed to snag a couple U.M. on ebay pretty cheap....i dont like the articulation on the shoulders...But the boxy shoulders is what i was lookin for...it cut work time. Next i got to lookin for some nice Ho Slot cars in 1/64 scale.....some of these things dont come cheap... Found the perfect 1.....and made a few casts out it..for trial n error... so far so good.....findin a head for this lil guy would be hard...so i thought about hydrospan n hydroshrink......well i got brave n just decided to rearrange hotrods head instead.....man workin on these small heads is HELL...but its comin along... most of the paint is applied....just a few things still left.... the rear fenders and spoilers... the wheels on the shoulders of course the Decals on the hood n rooftop headlights i dont think im goin to add Doors to him...if i do ..i'll have them to where u can remove and add wit a Mini revo joint anyway ..here's what i have so far... next up will be the triplets...Prowl/smoke/bluestreak ************Whats Crackin'!?********** Added decals to hood and back.......still missin decals on Fenders..and Missin Autobot insignia on hood.......need to touch up a few areas due to handlin..
looks fantastic. the revoltech formers have allways been some of my favorites. Glorified actionmasters or not, the superarticulation makes them pure win.
HA! I'm currently making my own as well: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/224300-revoltech-jazz.html
Painting the forearms white...I really need to get on that. The ones in the pic are borrowed from UM.
Man, if you're using castings of 1/64 racers, it wouldn't take too terribly much to turn a Hot Rod into Sideswipe, would it? Slap a new hood on the chest, cabin on the back, and back of the car on the legs and you're ready to go.
I've done this with mine and the head fits surprisingly well. Might be a little too "big" for some, but that's more of a preference than anything. It does fit well if you manage to drill a hole deep enough to slide half of the neck joint into.
Man, that looks factory! Great job! Got anymore of those cast? Planning on selling some? Might help out with the cost of your Jazz. As you can tell I'm interested.
yea i was lookin into sideswipe and sunstreaker too....those 1/64 HO SLOT racer shells work great with the revos......not so much the diecast 1/64 cars, they tend to more thin n not so bulky Thanx every 1..im glad ur diggin it
