WIP - Rescuebots Gestalt : BigTower

    UPDATE: 31st Aug 2010

He is only 40% completed...color scheme may change...

Cobbled together with parts from robots from various lines including TFs which are all junkers.

Not canon, but something I totally made up, or unless there is already a team called Rescuebots. If yes oh well...:D

    Main body : Rymfire

    Right Arm : Dashboard

    Left arm : Strut

    Right leg : Drillstart

    Left Leg : Lifeline

Still a long way to go. Don't hv Primus or Unicron. So I have to improvise.

It's a good thing it's not Unicron in my opinion. :)  Makes far more inventive use of the parts! I was going to say the head was too large, but I think it's just the fact that it stands out so much at the moment being white and all.

What'll the colour scheme be for this?

Hmm, reminds me of Machine Robo Rescue for some odd reason. Anyways, i hope this goes well for you, i love seeing original combiners. I just hope it doesn't turn out too similar to the Protectobots, though.

im glad your not using unicron man, i get so sick and tired of custom combiners that use such huge chunks of kibble from figures like Unicron or Primus. I like to see figures that can independently transform and combine without those extra parts, im not sure if thats where yours is going but it already looks amazing

I'm struggling to tell what the individual robot modes are, which makes suggesting a colour scheme tricky. However I've always thought a combiner with the black/yellow chevron patterns (like you see around dangerous machinery) would look awesome. Failing that, Storm's idea is good too.

I suck at hiding and storing extra bits ala kibbles. There are no extra parts here, just pure robots. The additional stuffs would be the fists, chest armor + crotch armor and I am trying to find a way to store them in Rymfire's alt mode.

Now THATS an idea. Thanks dude. By the way, any more comics from you? I missed your strips.

    Here is the breakdown:

    Rymfire - Cybertron Prime

    Dashboard - Classics Sunstreaker

    Strut - Classics Ironhide

Drillstart - GoldyMarg (I think, from Gao Gai Gar)

Lifeline - Some KO bot I got but suspiciously like Choryujin

The paint scheme you suggested is cool too, I will attempt a digibash on it to see how it looks. Thanks! :D

Thanks, but he is far from finished :p

Thanks, and I am pondering whether to use Storm's or Bovril's paint scheme idea. :D

Yeah, props for keeping the extra parts to a minimum. It's so annoying when people just tack on a motorcycle to Unicron's shoulder and a horribly out of scale helicopter to his shin and act like it's a combiner (and then the whole thing doesn't even transform!). This takes actual talent. Cybertron Prime's crotch is rather high up; that's one thing I was never able to "fix", the skirts help.

This gestalt is sweet. It has that Defensor type vibe to him, but still he's badass.

I'm liking it! I think if you put some black/yellow chevrons on the main body it'll take away from the Defensor look and make it more unique.

Thanks! You are right on the money as to the crotch, extending the skirts did helped abit.

Probably because the main body is Hotspot color. I might fix that by adding other color palette to distinguish him from Hotspot.

Yes, I like the chevron pattern idea. Will be doing it soon.

All comments and crits are welcomed. :D  I see your point and might be doing something about it. he is far from finished.

Once all are done then the bot respective bot modes will come :D  :D  :D

maybe when those panels are painted to match the theme of the whole figure and maybe with the connecting pegs smoothed down and they wouldn't jump out to me so much but its just my opinion....and again this is very cool and i love that you are keeping the extra kibble bits to a minum
