So @marvel b and I are doing a neon seeker team. My team, The Flash Force, is WIP at the moment, because neon paint is a pain to work with and requires a lot of layers. My hands aren't exactly steady either. Its also soft, thin and constantly undoes my hard work, but I'm hellbent on getting these done. And be done they shall! I also haven't found my third figure yet, Starscream and Windblade must be quite popular in my area.

Here's the progress of Blindside, the counterpart to marvel's awesome Neon Storm. It rocks that our brainwaves synced up and chose neon green for an accent color! Her base is Cyberverse Starscream.

The red and purple plastic don't want to be covered up, and I've made a lotta mistakes and a lot of areas need to be touched back up. I hafta go and get some more black paint for the shin guards, nose cone, back legs and arms, because mine is too old. I also need to buy some sealant. The front of the wings and thrusters still need to be painted.

One thing I've found for helping lighter colored paint stick to darker colored plastic without using so many coats is to get a good primer. I like Testor's Primer, gray. It comes in both enamel and acrylic. I personally use acrylic.
https://www.amazon.com/TESTORS-Model-Master-Primer-GP00843/dp/B0035LQSLQ/ is what I use. You may be able to find it cheaper in a local hobby store.
When I was converting CW Hot Spot into Grapple, covering the blue plastic with yellow paint was taking so many coats it kept flaking and chipping, and looked terrible. One coat of primer first, and the yellow looked good with only two coats. It will probably be the same with the neon paints.

A full squadron of neon seekers... Action Master G2 Thundercracker would be so proud!

I think Action Master Thundercracker would even say that's obnoxiously bright.
    I like it!

Fun fact - Action Master Thundercracker is also SG Thundercracker.

    I can't seem to find marvel_b's seekers.

I'm really liking your use of green more than my idea. So excited to see how these turn out!

I like how it's looking so far. The colors remind me of Generation 2, which is a good thing in my books since I love the colors a lot of the figures released during G2. Keep up the good work.

Grab yourself a white primer and the paint will look a ton more even!
Glad to see someone else is a fan of neon here BTW. :p

Added silver and black paint, fixed the mistakes on the head and inner thighs. Started on the guns and arms.

Alas, neon paint is a huge pain, my hands are never steady and I've always sucked at customizing, which is why she's not as good or smooth as I'd like.

I got these moulds because they're cheap, they're the only seeker moulds available to me at present and if I screw up, I'd rather screw up $7 worth of toy then $20-$30 worth of toy. I'm scroogy like that.

    Name: Blindside
Affiliates: Former Decepticon, The Flash Force
    Abilities: Aerial Combat, Military Strategist
    Weapon: Flash Bombs, Standard Rayguns

Bio: Despite her blindingly bright paint job, Blindside is fatalistic, pessimistic, kind-sparked and a tad paranoid. She used to work as a minor strategist in the Decepticon army, but after years of blatant betrayal, war, abuse and hiding her own sympathetic nature, she had enough and fled to a neutral colony. She later became one of its defenders and formed a trine that has similar combat capabilities. Her flash bombs cause a searing light that stops enemies in its tracks. Useful for fast get aways and surprise attacks.

    Model used: Cyberverse Starscream
Painted in: Neon Pink, Neon Green, Parakeet, Metallic Silver, Black Licorice, New Shamrock, Aquamarine

Hooray, she's finally done! Kinda looks like a neon watermelon huh? Other then the obvious paint issues, I do like her. Now I can get started on Optic Burn and hopefully they'll restock Starscream and Windblade soon so I can grab their third.

Starting on Optic Burn now. I'm a bit ashamed to admit I'd been slacking out of frustration. These here are Tropical Paints, so fingers crossed that they won't be a PitA.

ETA: Filled in more orange and started adding blue and a bit of black and silver. Something tells me this one is gonna be a lot less stressful then her teammate.

Added more orange, blue and black. Trying to find my thinnest and smallest brush to fill in the red gaps of her front wings. I dunno where it went?
