    Thoughts & Advice please.

I've been trying out different methods of panel lining, colours thickness etc... with the intention of adding details & highlights to my UW Devastator.
I haven't been brave enough to commit to paint on the actual figure yet till I'm sure I'm on the right track.
My test pieces so far have been a uninstalled Dr Wu crane arm and some G1 KO Constructicons.

I think my decision is bold green or subtle grey for the panel lines?
Might add some silver details here and there too.

As a complete novice - All thoughts & advice welcome :)

Very cool. Weathered look, black washing for lines is tricky for me. I have used ultra fine tip pens. Just did some sweeps added the black beards Easy job. Whats your method?

I'd go with green but personally I think the green you're using is too bright. I'd go for more of a forest or sage green than the bright green you've got but that's just me. The problem is you're not just working with a darker or more saturated color there but an entirely different hue: far too much blue in it compared to the very yellowish green in devastator.

Grey is the universal safe panel line color. The green would work for glowing areas, but as it is right now, it looks more like a paint error.

    Don't have one yet ;-)
I've found fine point (0.5/7) paint pens give me the steadiest hand, when I get the brushes out it's a car crash.
Favorites brands of paint pen so far are Dewent Graphik (0.5) and Posca (0.7).

Good shout - I'll track down some lighter greens to play with :)

Yep it's a deliberate mess at the moment, looking at how the different paints are drying etc... You're right about grey being safe, that's plan B at the mo.

Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming.

I haven't found a decent silver yet that doesn't rub off so might have to stick to mat colours.
