Thanks. They are attached with both of those methods. They a just kind of layered on using general human anatomy as a guideline as well as where actual truck parts may land, such as sway bars, leaf springs, and axles etc.

 

Eh, I liked them once painted, kept the big rig truck feel to it for me.

You know what I can't figure out is where his damn trailer goes too when he transforms its a tanker! The voyager solved that pretty well but the movie version and concept art doesn't seem to take it into account, other than the wheel count.

No kidding. You can't tell where the spikes on him go, either. Or the netting on his hood, the bull horns on his cab, etc etc. He looks badass, but when it comes to transformation and recognizable parts, he's one of the worst designed movie Transformers.

Man its starting to look great with all the detail, but the hips still don't look right to me. Like maybe slightly longer legs coming from wider hips that are set a tiny bit higher would be perfection.

 

I disagree. He had skinnier hips and shorter fatter legs.

Despite that, to allow full articulation of the hips, I could not incumber them with more add ons. His legs would not move if more was added.

 

Oh fuk, that's going to be so epic.
