I want to know what you guys/gals think of this color for Devastator. I mixed green and either silver or chrome, I don't remember which. I just wanted a second opinion on it.
I'm not crazy about it. It's too close to the original devastator, but not the original devastator colors. It's just always going to look a bit off to me. Just my 2 cents. If you went with something completely off, like a black devastator with green highlights, or a traditional yellow contruction, or painted each vehicle a different color.. I'm all for it. But that green isn't far enough away from the original, IMHO. I say go for something different. There's at least 6 devastator's running around that I've seen just in the past 2 months, so go for as unique as possible. Mathius
I'm going to be going for a different shade of green. It will be more yellow with a touch of blue to get the color I'm after and then he's going on ebay when I'm done.
If it's obvious, then why didn't he ask if it matched G1 devastator? If he's trying for a new shade of green for G1 devastator, then I stand by my answer. It's too close to the original. It'll just make the figure look off. He needs to either match the G1 color, or go with something completely different. If he's asking if it matches the g1 color, then no. But I don't think that's what he was asking at all. Mathius
And I gave one several times now. I'll say it one more for your benefit so there's no confusion, which there clearly is. I don't like it. It's too close to the original Devastator color without hitting the mark. To me, it will always look like an off colored version of Devastator. Again. I would use the original Devastator color, or choose something unique. There are certainly enough Devastator's running around that it's not going to matter one whit what shade of green you use, but something different would be new and unique. Mathius
I think it would've been better if you made it clear in the first post (maybe even include a poll) that you were going for a G1esque color scheme, even if the green you're shooting for is slightly different from the original.
