So, Shinobitron did this FANTASTIC kitbash of a Devcon from a deluxe TFA Megatron toy. It was such a good one that I felt it was the best mold I'd ever seen for Devcon and I had to make one for myself. Well at Botcon I bought myself a TFA Megatron, only to find out that 'eep, there's a voyager and a deluxe'... So the Voyager I bought became my Scourge and I hunted on the web and found a deluxe, which soon arrived. I'd also bought myself a Cybertron Blurr for no reason beyond having his head to chop up for my Devcon to be... which is what I did^^ Devcon's alt mode is a blunt nosed old thing, so I removed his knee guards to get the look right. I also used some scuply to fill in the gap of his 'toes' and add some details to his shoulders, feet and chest. I had two Oilslicks who sacrificed their 'beer' barrels (the ones that do NOT have the chain) to become the basis of his thrusters, and I took the windshield/bonnet of my movie Lockdown (Runabout doesn't need the spikes after all) to hide Devcon's face in altmode. The toy's existing cockpit was used with a bionicale ball joint. Please note, I bought a damaged Megatron toy. The gun/cockpit had been cut oddly before I got it, not sure why. This kitbash is not finished, I need to add to and smooth the thrusters some more and add a 'skirt' to the cockpit to have it fit to the body line better. I also, obviously, need to paint him. However the bulk of the work is done and Shinobitron's concept is so cool, and I love teh final look so much that I just had to show what I'd done so far!! ^^
