This is my latest custom. A WIP, about 80% comlpete. Classics Pretender Roadgrabber. Its been a bit of a pain, and the colors are a bit girly ;-), But it looks pretty good so far and look damn nice when done. The colors are Megenta (Pink) and Deep Pearlescent Purple. Though it looks blue at the moment. The face is very difficult to work on. May be taking the paint off it to start over again.

Nice work so far. I'm not seeing too many issues.

I totally agree. Also, that's a great choice for a mold for Roadgrabber. Excellent!

Thanks. The Wheeljack mold to me is one of the best to work with. One reason is they are cheap and easy to find (I have gone through 2 so far just on this build). Another is because there are so many possibilities for different characters to be done on it.

Thanks. Sometimes painting is an issue. I know sculpting the front Pincers and the back deck/weapons platform were a PITA! I messed the platform up once and had to go buy another wheeljack for the back end piece . But so far I like how it is turning out. I am going to be adding the Icy Blue paint to the front end and doors tonight. Hoping that turns out well.

Today I started adding the "Icy Blue" to the bottom of the custom. first two coats look nice. Let it dry over night and add another tomorrow. The nwork on the back end adding the blue.

Still gots lotsa work left. finishing the face. Adding the black undercoat under all the pieces. Then addin gthe HIGH GLOSS top coat when all is said and done.

Thanks. It will be a few weeks. I only have about 1/2 hour a night to work on it. Adding the little details and under coat for the back side of car shell. Just takes time. Lots of details I am trying to add. :)

Nearly done with painting. Still have some trim around edges underneath, and need to mount the smaller ball joint for the new head and test to ensure it closes in vehicle mode all the way. Then Top coat and done. This is taking so much longer than anticipated.

Ok, So I am top coating my pieces and messed up on the left quarter piece :-(

Got my top spray to close to the part and it sparyed to much. Started to run and drip. Dang it. That piece ruined. Luckily I have a parts wheeljack I have been using. Gonna have t primer and paint the thing to get caught up. This set me back another week. Learning experience thats for sure :)

Nearly DONE!! Woo Hoo! Have the left leg to finish up (Had to start from scratch on it, Got too close and my top coat came out of the Sprayer funky and made it look like crap and run).

Anyway, once the left leg is finished, I will be done and get some really good pics up. Its FAR from perfect, but its my third full custom and was a learning experience.

Here is a teaser, what do you think so far?
