I've never done any kind of customizing before, ever, but I decided I wanted to turn my animated Rodimus into Side Burn. I lost his torso a few days in, and gave up.
About a year later I looked around and saw I had a large amount of broken Transformers, and in half an hour, using super glue and a dremel, I had this Chromedome. Now I need to buy some paint if I want it to actually resemble him.
    Toys used were:
    Reveal the Shield Cyclonus (torso)
Animated Rodimus Major (legs and upper arms)
    War for Cybertron Soundwave's head
    and G2 Swindle's forearms.
I have no idea what I'm going to do about his vehicle mode.
Please give me critiques. I'm new at this.

Huh, that looks better than I would have expected... I'm not sure what to suggest for the vehicle mode though...

If it helps, here's his comic vehicle mode. I'm really interested in seeing where this goes.

Wow, this is very different from the usual PRiD Wheeljack repaint. In fact, the proportions are a lot close to the comic the way you're doing it. Using deltaprime's picture of the vehicle mode, I think you can use the shoulders as the back wheels and somehow transform the legs to look like the front spurs?

That looks really cool and is a very creative use of the parts. Looking forward to seeing it painted up!

Thank you for that image, deltaprime, and those suggestions tfcrafter!! I tried fiddling around with it and this is the best I can get it. It's got a lot of work to go, but thanks for your support!

    UPDATE:
At my college we have a 3D printer that anyone can use. This cost me a few bucks but I made a very crude Chromedome head in the only 3D program I know how to use because the Soundwave one really wasn't doing it for me. I have no idea how to to attach it to the body, and I still need to paint it, but I'm afraid I'll mess up and ruin it.

That's a decent looking head. Keep it up and don't be afraid of mistakes, our first customs are always very intimidating experiences.

Looks cool man. Looks cool. I'm envious of your 3d printer hehe.

As for attaching the head, I've recently started playing around with what's known as Green Stuff. It's a 2 part sculpting epoxy. I think that might be a good way to attach the head. You could make a swivel joint for it I think.
