WIP Breakaway repaint : "Autopilot"

Hereby I present you Autobot "Autopilot"

A new Spark revived Breakaway's corpse ; and an even stealthier Autobot flyboy was born. His agility in the skies rivals Starscream, so even if he does get spotted he'll outmanoeuvre any other Seeker.

Were Breakaway's wings always that shape?

Very nice. eager to see his robot mode. I'd go with Autopilot. Sounds like a G1-ny Autobot name, and Pilotwings just doesn't make any sense and sounds weird. :/

Thanks everyone, for the name suggestion : Autopilot it is then. Heh, it's got a nice garish ring to it like most Gobots' names  

Wings were modded ; backstory probably involves a new Autobot spark used to revive Breakaway's dead body.

Overall painting was basically done, but the right arm plating sits a bit too tight in jetmode, so I need to sand it down and then repaint it again. By then, I'll have botmode pics up as well.

This is a really nice custom. Totally feeling the color scheme. Not so much the names though. I have been planing a similar custom, even have my movie Thrust disassembled for it.

 

As one who loves Decepticon Seekers, I think you should make him fit in with the rest of the movie-ish Seekers we've gotten.

As others have said, the scheme is totally rockin' and your application is top notch

Aw, I was all ready to suggest a name. You should update the thread title.

Autopilot IS a clever name, but it feels a bit too drone-y. I was thinking maybe a classic name. I'd call him Silverbolt, if only because a) he has the two-tone gray going on, and b) he has toes on his robot-mode feet. A head resculpt wouldn't be too hard, since the Breakaway head already has a "muzzle" of sorts.

Alas, this is your custom figure, not mine. So, if he's gonna be Autopilot, you'd better make him the best goddamn Autopilot he can be. (Ooh, what about Autojetter? He's definitely god the face for it).

 

Looks Great!! I really like the paint scheme, it's simple - yet effective.

 

The modded wings make it resemble the real plane it's inspired on more closely.

It looks great, IMHO Thrust's head would look EVEN better on it.

 

Cool repaint, could always name it Jetbolt.

 

come on. hes an all gray jet. all I see is Leader-1 lol. Then you could do an Optimus vs. Leader-1 pic.
