This is going to be my first real attempt at customizing a Transformer. Based on the main robot from Brave Police J-Decker, Brave Detective Deckerd, this figure will be a modified version of Henkei Red Alert. Here is the "concept art" for the custom to give an idea of what I'm going for, along with what I've done so far. I've dyed some of the areas I wanted to be blue (unfortunately I damaged the larger piece that is part of the robot's upper torso while dying it, so I do have to replace that), but ultimately I'm still going to have to paint them as the blue is far from the correct color. However I feel still having used the dye method I can avoid having to paint in the joints on those pieces to minimize any possible paint scraping from movement. For the head I planned to use the head of an actual Deckerd figure (which I used in the PS concept) but I didn't realize the size difference so now I'm going to use that figure as a reference while I modify Red Alert's existing head. However I'm going to save that for later, as I'm focused on the coloring/painting of the body right now. One thing I do need to figure out is the best way to add the Brave Police seal to the car hood and doors.
